USA Took Misoprostol sharing my experience 4 weeks 5 days (no pain/positive)
Diary: Saturday morning 9/5 took at 9:54 Tylenol Codeine and 4 ibuprofen 800, 2 Ibuprofen 800 at 1:52pm
Saturday 9/5
10:57am 4 misoprostol taken (2 melted in each cheek)
11:29am Very mild cramping 2/10
11:37am Cramping increased 3/10
11:57am cramping is still bad, no blood
12:09pm cramping 5/10 no blood
1:16pm fell asleep one hour, still cramping not quite as bad but no blood, throat feels so sore like it’s being cut, heating pad has been on the entire time and helps
1:59pm: Minor bleeding in pad
2:57pm: Still nothing major has happened or passed, light bleeding but that’s all
4:01pm: Blood has come out but nothing major, filling a pad it’s red and brown
4:28pm: No cramps or bleeding
7:12pm: The pill has done nothing no pain, came to ER to make sure it’s working
8:37pm: No cramps or bleeding, in ER, I was given 4 more misoprostol to take orally
8:57pm: No cramps or bleeding
10:30pm: Still no significant bleeding
Monday 9/7
6:00am: Started bleeding Monday morning like a heavy period with clots running down my legs in shower, no pain at all

Do not let people scare you into thinking you’ll faint or worst pain of your life, it’s not like labor
***Also ultrasound in ER showed inevitable abortion/debris in my uterus so the medicine worked

Thank you for sharing, this post's notification came as i was crying from anxiety, im taking the misoprostol tomorrow morning and im so scared of the pain cause everyone said its too much etc.. ur post made me feel better thank you 🙏🏻 also at what point do u think the ER team thought that it's best that u take 2 extra misoprostol?

I’m glad :) I was just as scared but it’s not that scary. Just take your pain meds 1 hour before miso and then every 4 hours. 12 hours after my first miso they recommend a second dose. Hospital will also give you stronger meds if needed.

This was my experience as well! I have AWFUL periods like I’m in bed the whole first day with my heating bad basically so I was SO scared. My dr did prescribe me a heavier pain med so maybe that helped but I’m so so thankful. Glad yours went well too!

It felt like a step above a bad period but I could still walk/move I wasn’t on the floor passing out at all
