They would just rig the election. Also trump isnt intending to run again. He’s hoping to take the Vladimir route and be vice president, then ascend to presidency once JD Vance steps aside.
When has that stopped him though? Its almost as if we have someone in the white house immune to persecution enacting his will on all of us and enriching himself in the process of making our lives worse.
True, but I feel pretty sure they're currently doing that anyway. They are already doing a dry run for 2028, especially if they feel confident JD "That's a Nice couch you have" Vance is gonna win.
They’re not letting JD Vance lose. Nobody likes that guy yet he still will win because these fucks are not honest and they have embedded themselves. Elon the weasel will be summoned once again or he will be thrown in prison and exposed if he denies. I highly doubt the ballot box will be honest this next time around.
I know that's his public stance, but I'm hoping if things go how people think they are going to go he can be convinced to be the one to stand against Trump. Being honest, if things really go that way I kinda feel like Obama would be the last actual hope to put opposition back in the White House and throw a wrench in the authoritarian/Christian nationalist takeover.
I really don't see any way out of this unless the good people who give a shit get just as radical as the traitors
You may be surprised how many conservatives (myself included and many in my circle) miss him. Actual conservatives, anyways. Not “don’t tread on me unless you’re republican” conservatives.
If there’s something we can agree on, it’s that Obama vs Romney was the last sensible matchup in politics. Romney has a history of legislature backing so good as a senator I almost thought he was a dem.
Obama feels like a “common” person. He’s witty, fun to talk to, down to earth, and actually gets people. He’s that friend you want to visit with every week. He gets a lot of hate for a few of his policies, but overall I felt like he was a president for the people and actively tried to have the people’s best interests at heart. Going from Obama to Trump will always feel very jarring. Biden felt like we were on life support, and Trump 2.0 feels like we are floundering. It’s truly been a rough 10 years.
The guy is naturally funny too . There’s a show idk if you’ve seen it or not, it’s on Netflix. It’s just episodes where Jerry Seinfeld well chats with comedians and known public figures. The show is called comedians in cars getting coffee and Seinfeld had Obama in one episode and obama just had funny zingers left and right
Obama and McCaine were the definition what it meant to be an American, mutual respect, fighting hard for your beliefs, making sure to let us know as supporters that when we looked across the aisle we might not have agreed but we were looking at somebody suited for the presidency.
facts even if the person you voted for won, still felt like a loss. super unfortunate we got the version of Joe Biden we did with his declining state, at one point he fit the mold. iv been saying it for a while now i truly believe there are more of us out their then the crazies on both sides, we just need to take the microphone back.
Oh for sure. Reddit loves to tell us that there are only anarchists and literal Nazis in the world. And anyone who isn’t a leftist is a Nazi. And so many other things. Just a crazed and especially vocal minority. Most people, whether left or right, are sensible or at least have nuance.
If there's nothing else left about the MAGA tragedy to laugh at, it at least amuses me that they have very likely secured themselves a future where they spend the rest of their lives hearing people say that America peaked when the President was black. Had they gotten over themselves about it they wouldn't have thwarted American prosperity with such an undeniable switch to going downhill from there with Donald Trump.
The modern Democrats are just 1970s Republicans. The Democrats have been a Conservative Party for decades. Our two choices are far-right and center-right.
That said, yes I’d take Obama and the corpo Dems over MAGA any day.
Of course we all miss him. The good for nothing Orange Turd President can’t even keep gas prices under $3.00 a gallon. All Republicans are getting the hard American BOOT 🥾 in November. Donald Trump making a WNBA roster or playing half a season along side LeBron James wouldn’t distract me! I can’t even afford to get to work with gas prices so high.
\**Employers better start issuing gas cards to their employees to make up for Donald Trump’s Iran 🇮🇷 mess up. Drumpy will probably provide reimbursement.**\
Cost of doing business in the Orange ballroom focused President’s economy.
He is the reason Russia was able to make a comeback on the world stage. Romney warned us about this in the 2012 debate and Obama's response was "the 80s are calling and want their foreign policy back" then he dropped a mic on the floor and everyone stood and clapped. 2 years later Russia took Crimea and Obama said some stern words. And that was it.
Damn right! He sure knew how to keep Iran 🇮🇷 in check and prevented my paycheck from evaporating at the gas ⛽️ pump! I eye the price per gallon at every God damn gas station I drive by because of Donald Drump.
Edit: Move the midterms up to October 6th. Independent voters will be the deciding factor this go round. All current Republicans in Congress are getting the hard boot. 🥾
We need someone who stops funding Israel though, did you know they have universal health care on our dime and we don't?
While doing appartheid!!!
Edit: Of course they "have their own seperate economy" you strawmanning prick. $3.2 billion per year just vanishes into thin air then, does it? Dishonest, smug twat.
You know, they have their own separate economy, right? The only thing they buy from us are weapons. That's what our deals are they buy our guns are missile defense for the iron dome stop spreading misinformation
No, individual U.S. states do not send money or foreign aid to Israel.
Federal Responsibility: Foreign aid and international relations are handled exclusively by the federal government, not individual state governments.
National Aid: Financial and military support for Israel comes from the U.S. Federal Government, managed by Congress and the executive branch.
State Investments: While state governments do not fund foreign nations, some state treasuries or state pension funds may buy Israeli government bonds as part of their standard investment portfolios.
Its pretty overwhelmingly federal aid. Indiana doesn't just send money i dont believe. But they do purchase bonds. Which I know isnt great but its different than just giving them money.
The deportations that occurred under Obama were almost exclusively confined to law breakers. There were never masked thugs invading city streets, American citizens getting killed by ICE, nor a 13 billion dollar budget increase on his watch. Tired old comparison.
This is untrue. While Trump is deporting more non-criminals than Obama, Obama deported a crap ton of people without criminal records.
Under Obama years depending on the year, between 40-55% of people deported had a criminal record.
Under Trump that number is 30-40%.
While Obama was still better by a marginal amount on deporting criminals, "almost exclusively confined to law breakers" is utterly false. About half were law breakers. Half did nothing wrong other than not having papers.
Obama was nicknamed Deporter in Chief by pro-immigrant advocates during his time BECAUSE he deported so many people and broke up so many families, many of which weren't exclusively law breakers.
The ACLU launched many lawsuits against Obama over his drone strikes in the Middle East, warrantless surveillance by the federal government, and his harsh immigration policy. While Trump is worse than Obama, which isn't a competition, Obama did many of Trump's sins but quieter. Border Czar Tom Homan even got a medal under the Obama administration despite him going on Fox saying dehumanizing shit about immigrants even back the.
Americans don't support deporting a family man who may lack papers and did nothing else wrong, that's why Trump campaigned on deporting "mostly criminals" and "the worst of the worst" in 2024.
This is also why he's underwater on immigration for the first time since he started his political career in 2015. That and the whole unaccountable secret police with masks and assault rifles.
Lol Had Obama said Donald changed his own diaper that would’ve been classic. Donald would have went scorched earth after hearing that we will suffer the consequences more than we are already suffering
What I’ve come to learn is that republicans project. A lot. Like it’s literally their favourite thing to do. So yes - they are very sensitive and absolutely cannot take a joke.
How many wars did Obama fight in? You are just upset Trump didn't die in a war so you'd have never heard of him. Just admit you want him dead and it has nothing to do with military service.
Trump dodged a draft several times thanks to nepotism so he could send soldiers to die for isreal. Weird to see someone defend him so avidly. Did he donate a spa worker to you or smth?
This is the shit that the orange man elected the first time and if Obama would have had this same level of clarity during that correspondence dinner maybe trump wouldn't have gotten elected...
W.T.F. Barack and Michelle are campaigning? Let’s do Trump a solid and vote as if the obviously more popular Obama is on the ballot. Voting 🗳️ blue will lower your gas pump blues.
This is why Donny is still obsessed with Obama. He outclassed the orange shitgibbon just by existing, and Donny can’t do a thing about it besides die angry.
Just more divide and conquer. Keep the people fighting between the party lines and they won't come after the real criminals (government) and (corporations)
Yeah, where were you for Trumps first term, his campaigning after, and the last two years?…. Libtards, Dumacrats (dumb spelling), celebrating the death of John McCain and Mueller, who were both war hero’s!!! FU!
Don’t even try that 💩 after the constant dividing Trump, Fox and the entire Republican Party has done.
See the difference between “Some people might call him nasty, but I wouldn’t do that” to “I almost said that but I didn’t” almost like Obama actually has respect to not say the thing he shouldn’t say out loud instead of trying to play some weird both sides card that doesn’t actually work
I think he should have said it. Openly. Call him a diaper shitting despot and make him respond or attempt to respond. Humiliation and consequences for themselves are the only things that wake MAGA up. Humiliating the leader is the best way.
See that’s what’s great, Obama never changed Biden’s diaper because Biden doesn’t wear them.
Trump has multiple pics of what’s clearly a diaper under his slacks. Trump really does wear a diaper cause he shits himself publicly quite often.
Now you can’t digest that fact so you go looking for some speck you can cling onto to distract yourself from the cruel reality of President Trump Shits His Pants.
Democrats really need to stop acting like decorum still exists in politics. Just call him a diaper-shitting man baby and move on with it! I'm sick of taking the higher moral standpoint.
