Just got today the remaining of the books. ❤️
I read them a while ago until Vampire Armand plus Pandora (couldn’t find at the time the rest of them), now I start again to read them all. I am at The Queen of the Damned, but I am very excited to get to the ones that would be a first time read. ❤️
For example ghost Claudia was a surprise for me. 😅 I knew Merrick’s name and that she was a witch (while desperately trying to find the book at that time), but I didn’t know exactly what happens in the book.
So excited to finally be able to read the full collection. ❤️

Takes me back to high school times, when i was reading desperately the books and i was being obsessed about Lestat and omg how amazing 😍 he is. 😂 This time I have a community to talk to. ❤️

Note: includes spoilers for the full season of TVL and the books.

I feel like this song is so short and it’s a crime! I finished TVL in the midst of my boyfriend breaking up with me. I felt like absolute shit and it was such a bad break up I blamed myself. Then I heard Cabbage one day and I never felt more Lestat about myself.

It’s such a feel good anthem for, as he once said, broken hearted beasties. Cabbage is just another Don’t dream it, be it. Be damaged, be cabbage all my beautifully unwell friends!

Honestly every time I rewatch season 3 Gabriella just gets worse and I spend most of my time watching it with my face screwed up in disgust 😂 I rewatch this show regularly no shame.

I am on episode two where she is ‘exploring’ his leg whilst rubbing cream into his wound and talking about bathing naked in a stream and man I dislike her even more 🤦🏻‍♀️

Like bravo to the acting because jeezus it’s so uncomfortable to watch. She did such a number on him and constantly takes without thought or feeling and yes I would have liked less of her 😂

I hope this relationship does not continue into season 4 the way it is now because my face will permanently be stuck like this if it is 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤢

Okay, so I know it isn't Daniel, but this character played by the same actor in Blade 3 doing a whole interview about vampires is just so freaking amusing. I can't help but wonder if somehow this had something to do with his casting.

It is literally like the same character. The same general job, the same speech, the same look, the same body language, everything - it's basically Daniel. if I didn't know better, I would think it was the same character.

There are so many unanswered questions maybe you can help shed some light! Spoilers if you havent seen it.

Why ia the Talamasca involved in helping them!? Why do they want the great conversion!?

Yeah Daniel got pissy at Leatat but Why did Armand and Daniel do that! What was the purpose!? How is Daniel walking in the sun now? Did I miss something? I know he elaborated on Daniels rage but Why is Daniel so angry?

Obviously Lestat did the concert but I would have liked to have seen it. Which begs the question are we getting a new season?

I don't know about others I just felt like there was so much in that episode. Some beautifully executed (ha) some story archs not as much. It left me with way more questions than answers so if people can help elaborate that would be fabulous.

So in the “I bet” scene, Louis says that he heard the songs and Lestat says that the songs are not about him.
Then in episode 6 he admits that most of the songs are about him. But looking at the list, that it not true:

All Fall Down - about rockstar life

Long Face - is more about rockstar life, but I guess it could be talking to Louis.

Black Licorice - He tells Daniel is not about Louis, but about his first kill after meeting Louis in NO. Guess it could be a lie…

Why Do I Have To Feel - it’s about Nicki “I could sleep for a hundred years”

The Loneliness - About loneliness of the vampire, not a specific person

Your Biggest Fan - About Magnus

Plastic Fiends - about the modern times

Big Boss - Armand diss track

Hit The Lights - about Nicki, Daniel confirmed that it was written about Nicki and they didn’t find the right place to use it for Nicki this season so they suggested it could also work with Sophia.

Big Bad Wolf - this is about Louis, but it’s not a love song. 😅 he calls him a “cancerous jackal”

Le Petit Coup - he does mention Louis, but he talks more about Sophia “his old obsession” and how he will go and fu*k her.

Cabbage - mostly Gabriella coded, as that was the word she used

Stained Glass Eyes - Claudia

Brutal Love - only actual love song about Louis

Butterscotch Bitch - probably could be about Louis “pretending you actually love me” but again, he isn’t painted in the best light. Plus it could be anyone, cause Louis never pretends to love Lestat…that being the whole problem (Louis never saying that he loves Lestat)

So how are most songs about Louis? Gabriella and Nicki get the same amount (if not more) of songs.

I think that in a interview they talked about the line actually being that all songs were about him, and Sam pushed back cause obviously that wasn’t true so they went with “most”. But even “most” isn’t true. It’s like 3-4 at most, and 2 of them are in a negative tone. Brutal Love is the only romantic song. And that song wasn’t even yet written in the “I bet scene” (Louis first hears it when Lestat plays it on the rehearsal in episode 6), so when Louis said he heard the songs, which ones did he mean?

Did I miss anything?

L.E. How could i forget “When I Call Out Your Name” - which is obviously about Gabriella.

I was thinking about the Lestat-Armand scene on the balcony where we had 2 versions: Armand’s version (where Lestat says that he loves him back) and Lestat’s version (“There is not enough room in this box for your desperation”) and was wondering if in season 4 we will get an answer which was real.
And then I realized that when we know for sure that Lestat lied (for example when he told Daniel that Gabriella died), we never seen the scene, we just hear Lestat’s narrative. While they show the actual scene in the carriage with a very happy and sane Gabriella (which of course is never discussed with Daniel).
Can this be on purpose? Like if we get to see the actual scene, we know it’s real (because Lestat would be a more reliable narrator than Louis), while if it’s just Lestat’s talking about it, it could be a lie?

Another example is Enkil. Marius says that Enkil was burned in the sun, but we see his skull smashed and leg broken.

Could that be on purpose? Do they go with the direction that Lestat is a more reliable narrator than Louis and Armand? Do we have any scene where we know it’s not real, yet we get to see it? Lestat seems to be very sure that the way he remembers it is the truth. It could be just his self-centered way, or it could be on purpose.

I know that in the interviews Sam and Jacob talk often about the fact that in first 2 seasons we get one point of view, and now things are different cause we get Lestat’s point of view. They never say that Lestat is the reality. But I wonder if they don’t do it on purpose that some scenes we get to see how things happened, while in others we just hear Lestat’s narrative (like for example Nicki’s actual death). Could this be on purpose? Or is it just because of budget restrictions? What do you think?
