Which degree and university should I choose in Karachi?

Hi everyone, I have 45% marks and I’m confused about which university and degree I should choose.

I’m considering BSIT, BS Cyber Security, Computer Networks & Security, and Digital Forensics & Cyber Security. I’m looking at universities like UIT, Hamdard, KIET and other private universities in Karachi.

My main priority is good job opportunities, salary, and career growth after graduation.

Which degree and university would you recommend? And if you’re already studying or working in these fields, I’d really appreciate your honest experience/advice.

So I'm currently an AS student whose doing Math, Econ, CS, and Phy. I did Cambridge Olevel and got pretty decent grades and doing Cambridge alevels. I'll be done with tht by 2028 and I was planning to move abroad I mean my goals are Europe, USA or Canada. I'll be doing SAT, IELTS, ACT test in the future as my older sister is also doing those. I hope i get very decent scores in them cuz they support uni scholarships alot and i am also an ex-president of a debate club but stopped debate n public speaking due to my olevel and I hv not started them again.

But I think it's crucial to have a extra curriculum so I hope to continue that. And also my family background is that we are pretty higher middle class type of but they can't afford a whole study abroad thing. My parents cud afford other expenses but the whole uni fees is very tuf for them. I hope I'll get around 4A*s for my ALevels which cud be a strong foundation for me for my uni application with atleast a 75% scholarship but I wud appreciate a 100% so I cud work less to afford the fees. I don't look for high end unis either as I'll be okay as long as it's in the specified countries and is providing a schol for me.

But apparently when I come to reddit I see ppl saying negative stuff as in a 100% schol doesn't even exist and that really disappoints me so I actually am seeking for personal experience or smth real you know. Jst not saying shit you don't know. I hv alot of my seniors from schl who actually got a full ride to UK, Australia and some other European countries but I don't go to schl anymore so I lost contact with them and also my teachers hv spoken alot about their students moving with a full ride with their ALevel results. So idk who to believe and am confused rn.

So if you all hv anything you would like to share, pls do as it wud help me a lot in this process and I really wanna know if these actually exist, and also SHUD I continue my debate and public speaking or is it not needed?

Ps. I got alot of people saying such as my teachers, that alot of unis actually don't mind olevel and consider them alot. But I see ppl saying here for some to retake their olevels even after 4A*s for ALevels, 1590 SAT score so wht is actually true??do olevels rlly matter as much as alevels??? Jst wanted to know cuz ppl said that to me when I was crashing and crying over for how hard olevels were.

I have withdrawn from my university once to take a semester at community college to fill in some classes, and I’m currently debating doing it again and then re-enrolling again. Does this negatively effect your chances of getting into certain programs like nursing for example? Does it show up on your transcript and will it affect it in a negative way? Looking for advice

Hello everyone my name is Feisal I'm currently 26 and doing a double masters in computer engineering and computer science. My ultimate goal is to teach and manage my parents rental properties. I want to teach for various reasons one of them being I truly enjoy it. The problem is I don't necessarily want to do a whole bunch of research. Like I like research but I don't know if I'd like it more than working and embedded systems job or teaching a microcontrollers class and lab for example. I also don't want to have to delay a high paying job or job security till I'm almost 40.

My parents are getting older Dad is already 70 and while they have rental income to live off, I still want to be able to spend time with them. Have a bit more autonomy then being in the 9-5 maybe even start an IoT business or something. My concern is if I do teaching with a masters i can only be a lecturer and I don't know if that has good job security? Is there shortned PhDs? Or online options? In terms of going for a tenure track how stressful is it? Or time consuming? I just can't decide right now if it's worth to plan for a PhD or no.

Is MAJU a good university? Is it worth it for someone who wants to pursue Psychology?

I currently have two options: Iqra University and MAJU. I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has studied at MAJU or has experience with the university could share their honest opinion. Is MAJU worth it for pursuing Psychology? Please help!

During high school I had decided to study Dentistry.
I took all the lessons needed to pass into the corresponding universities.
By the end of high school my parents informed me they were unable to pay for my university.
During that time i got a job opportunity in an Audit firm, where they would teach me how to audit and also pay for my university degree (ACCA).
It’s been around 9 months since i started the job and i already passed two exams of ACCA.
My mother gave me an idea to save up while working this job and to pay my tuition at a Romanian university for dentistry. The saving would take me about 3 years and I will be 21 when if i start my journey for my dentistry degree.
Im no longer sure if dentistry is what I want.
I know that if i take the ACCA/Finance path I will finish university much faster and I will be able to be independent much sooner, whereas if I start dentistry it will take me 3 years to start, 6 years to study and around 2-3 years to actually gain experience and be respected as a dentist.
But Ive always aspired to work in the medical field and studying finance does not bring me the same happiness that the medical field does.

Another one of my concerns is how employable is dentistry nowadays, especially with a Romanian diploma.
Im planning on living in Germany when I finish.
Is a decade of my life worth it?

Does anyone that studied dentistry have any regrets? How is the actual work environment and would you choose to study something else if you had the choice to restart.

I'm a senior and applying to the US . I'm taking the IB; my subjects are HL Physics, HL Math AA, HL Business, SL Econ, and SL English Language and Literature. I'm thinking of applying for engineering, and maybe Econ for some schools. But I dont even know which schools I can apply engineering for? My grades are quite horrible. In the same order as I listed the subjects, 5, 4, 6, 7, 6 and 6 in another language subject. I was looking at schools like university washington and UCI. I might ED NYU tandon but I don't think my grades will be enough. I think My physics grade can improve to a 6 and my math maybe to a 5. I'm looking for hope and some stories... help please.... dont discourage me... I can talk more about my ECs
