I literally saw the tail and thought "is that a snake? Nah, can't be. Why would there be a snake?"

u/BlatantConservative 3d ago

Eggs bruh.

Weirdest thing about this is the hen not giving a shit

u/Xdarthnaderx 3d ago

THAT'S what threw me off. Usually she would be raising hell if a snake was going for her eggs. This bitch just sat on it thinking it would go away.

It was like she was actually protecting the snake while it ate her eggs.

I think she might’ve been stuck. It looked like the snake was wrapped around one of her ankles, she was pecking at it as bro went to pick her up.

So I think the hen had the snakes head pinned but it had wrapped itself around her leg, I think that's why she was also sorta smothering the snake, maybe she was trying to pin it down or something.

When they get broody they'll mother anything they can. I'm sure the snake was cozy

thought she's having some snakescale nest upgrade, that moves.

Normally I don’t judge parenting styles

It’s my snake! I’ll hatch it if I want to!

u/Captain_Dachshund 2d ago

Sung in they style of "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to"?

Give her a break, she has Postpartum.

u/Myrkanoon_UwU 2d ago

Unfortunately your mother didnt have it, huh?

Chickens are dumb as shit. She didn't even notice until he picked her up

u/BedSpreadMD 1d ago

I was about to say this. Chickens are legit dumb AF. Getting them to understand even the most basic things like "the food is right there" is a challenge.

According to Werner Herzog, absolutely

u/LithiumLost 3d ago

People just straight up use this word again huh

u/naimlessone 3d ago

Never stopped

u/StopReadingMyUser 3d ago

Personally it's one of the funniest words I describe myself or my actions with.

u/padparascha3 3d ago

I cannot believe you put it in writing. Maybe google why it is an outdated slang, or maybe it is acceptable in trailer parks?

u/StopReadingMyUser 3d ago

Unless it's anything more than it being a word referred to those who are mentally challenged then I'm well aware of the nature of it.

While there are people who definitely use it in a derogatory manner to cut at others in some vile and unpleasant ways, there are also those that don't and merely use it as any other word of emphasis about ignorance to some degree.

In other words... it's not about degrading or belittling the differently abled any more than the #FamilyFriendly society-acceptable words do that communicate the same thing, like dumb or stupid. It only disparages the perceived group of people if you interpret it that way, because quite honestly, they're not on people's mind when using it.

u/padparascha3 2d ago

Reading comprehension is obviously not working with you. I am not going to read your word salad response.

u/StopReadingMyUser 2d ago

It's fine if you still disagree, but you can't just ignore people because you don't know how to address their points or want to engage in critical thinking.

Take care, bud.

u/DeficiencyOfGravitas 3d ago

Yeah, jokes aside, it's definitely back. A lot of my 20ish coworkers use it all the time.

Just like computer skills, not using that word is something only 30-40 year old people do.

u/padparascha3 3d ago

Jokes aside it isn’t. Educate yourself.

u/DeficiencyOfGravitas 3d ago

Educate myself on how my coworkers talk? What?

They're saying it. I don't need a career academic to tell me what they're doing.

u/xrimane 3d ago

The comment was deleted ... any hint what word you guys are talking about? There's a whole thread missing the one important bit of information lol.

u/Keyboardnutz 3d ago

I didn’t start using it again.

To be fair, I never really stopped soooo…

u/some_dewd 3d ago

Oh nooo, hopefully any chickens that read that don't get offended.

u/Argylius 3d ago

Yeah they still do and I hate it

u/LopsidedCare6257 3d ago

Yet somehow they out-survived the dinosaurs.

u/guineaprince 3d ago

Some people just out themselves.

u/padparascha3 3d ago

No politically incorrect and a derogatory slang word. Only ignorant and mean people use it.

u/padparascha3 3d ago

That’s an outdated derogatory slang word for the mentally challenged. You are showing your ignorance in using it. ☮️

u/SuperBackup9000 3d ago

No way you’re going to say someone is showing their ignorance immediately after saying “mentally challenged” because that’s also outdated and derogatory.

Get your vocabulary checked before you start judging people for theirs.
