advice for incoming senior

i was admitted to davis in 2021, took several gap years, did courses elsewhere and now i’m coming back for my final year. the most time i’ve spent on campus has been a few months at a time during summer sessions, i’ve never actually spent a full quarter on campus. i’m considered a senior with all the work i’ve done elsewhere & such so im in a weird spot (also 1-2yrs older than most seniors) so is there any advice on how i manage campus & such. for example, i don’t know where most locations are on campus & i also never got a student ID card lol (i’ve been a davis student this whole time tho)

hey I was also admitted in 2021 and I’ll be a senior this year too (I’m 23f)!! my best advice is not to think too much about the age gap and try to frequent places where mostly grad students go (east end of campus). try to attend community events to meet a broader range of people (use instagram to find). there’s a spectrum of ages on campus and fall quarter is always an adjustment time for new and returning students!

Everything that you might need is easily accessible from a quick google search, including maps and procedures. It’ll all be fun and it’s best to be excited despite any circumstances. PM me if you ever need a friend :)
