Basically a bunch of people figuring out they’re old and don’t understand slang anymore and yelling at clouds about it

HS in Gwinnett 15 years ago, people said "ass". They were already saying ahhhhh like a little sigh back then?

Even just tacking "ass" onto an adjective is older AAVE, it's like there was a whole move-countermove and continual copying that starts with gay men and white women, and eventually filters to these youngins. Finally clueless middle aged hetero white dudes like me learn about it, and it's time for new slang. Circle of life.

I'm sorry, but when it comes from a little white boy with a name like Melvin, who's hardest challenge in life is getting shit-talked in fortnite, that only parrots things he heard or saw in text knowing nothing of the cultural origins isn't using aave...

When someone appropriates culture without even knowing anything about where it comes from the word or act itself might be there, but any soul or orignal meaning are lost...
