Stop with the fake outrage. The guys callin out the LARP is exactly what she wanted.

Edit: she has like 1k followers. (With a 10.7 mil view reel). This was the greatest thing to happen to her, and she knows it.

"The way those people heckled her was a bit inappropriate."

Just anything apart from this meta narrative where heckling young girls for taking a photo gets turned around into weird projections of her supposed motivations and how she wanted to be treated poorly for attention.

these "normal" responses are contradicting. it's not a fun photo in a field if it's staged. this isn't about the photo, or the hecklers, or the girl. You could replace the girl with an old man and the young boys with teenage girls. It accomplishes the same thing. I don't like it when people weaponize our emotions for engagement. That's not normal. Let's not normalize that. Ok?

But what's the proof it's for engagement? And why as a rejection of our current media ecosystem are we having to protect a lot of nasty feelings onto a young woman and not say, Facebook, tiktok, our governments, on any other person or organisation that has real power over this stuff? Why instead are we constructing an unverifiable narrative which has an aggressive and paranoid emotional substance around the image of a young woman lying in a field. Can you not see how that's fucked?

She posted it.

It has exponentially more likes than anything she has.

People are allowed to offer their opinions…hence “social media”. (And “normal” is subjective, especially in other countries)

She benefited greatly from the exposure.

So where is the issue?

Yeah it's just weird to see someone be publicly heckled and be like "that's what she wanted." It's just like as if someone posting a video of themselves and it getting views is enough for you to build this narrative of a person's motives. Your projecting this idea that she is attention seeking and this is somehow something she wants based off a few bits of evidence that just don't support that and I get the impression that the emotionality behind your comments is hostile to this stranger. It's weird.

Yeah which is why it's all a gross social dynamic. The platforms, people posting to it, and your projection onto this stranger from all that. If you're finding yourself getting angry at a video of something lying in a field and getting heckling because you're building up this whole meta narrative about how it's bait, it's fake and she's profiting off of it just read a book or something. Maybe it is fake maybe it isn't, but you're not enjoying your time watching it and it's leading you to just saying this gross stuff. There's something fucked when you get to the point where you see people getting heckled in public and then you're going "that's good for them," you've ended up in a weird place socially when you are engaging with a video in that way emotionally. Meta and tiktok have got to you bro, you're in the Matrix.
