Morby's "Little Wide Open" is obsessed with me
I am getting around to this album a bit late. It is hitting me in the good goods. Its produced by Aaron and it sounds like a mid west American version of the national. All of the songs have been c-walkin' around my head for a month now. Recommend

Great album. I can hear a ton of Aaron in it all.
Badlands, javelin and the title track are great tunes. Good listen front to back

Paid this with Kurt Vile’s new record, Philadelphia’s Been Good to Me, and you won’t be disappointed- I guarantee it!

I saw Morby open for Nathaniel Rateliff. I need to listen more. I love his lady…Katie Crutchfield.

Great album. Was lucky enough to see Kevin at Levon Helm Studios where Aaron played with Morby and band for about half the set. It was an incredible experience for me as a Morby and National fan. Got to briefly say hello to Aaron which was cool.
Here’s Javelin with Aaron (not my video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giAgqGWDiho

Morby's album On My God and Sundowner should jive with The National fans ears as well.

Never even heard of Morby until just before this album came out. Admit I did give it the initial listen because Aaron was it the big ones on his socials.
It is my album of the year by a country mile. Not necessarily because of Aarons influence, which is great, but like the album, tunes and delivery by Morby on its own merits.

I always enjoy listening to Morby, but I do struggle a bit with his phrasing. He has a tendency to draw out pronunciation of words or place the emphasis in a bit of clumsy manner IMO.
Love the soundscape though

Oh man, how he breaks up words might be my favorite thing about Morby. Super Lou Reed and Leonard Cohen coded.

I second any and all positive comments about Kevin Morby.
