Guys, I don't understand why everyone makes dating so complicated.

I've spent years conducting extensive research (mostly watching my friends get rejected), and I have finally discovered the ultimate method for getting a girlfriend.

Step 1:

Go up to the girl you like and casually ask:

Excuse me, do you have a pen?

She gives you a pen.

Congratulations.

The relationship has officially begun.

Step 2:

The next time you see her, don't return the pen.

Instead say:

Actually, can I keep this? I've developed an emotional attachment to it.

She will either laugh or call you weird.

Both are signs that she remembers you.

Progress.

Step 3:

If she posts a story, DO NOT reply.

Everyone makes this mistake.

Coffee photo? Ignore it.

Sunset photo? Ignore it.

Her selfie? Definitely ignore it.

Like the story 11 hours later.

Why?

Because women are naturally attracted to uncertainty and questionable decision-making.

Step 4:

One random day, walk up to her and ask:

Do you know me?

Obviously she'll say yes.

This is where most guys panic.

I was hungry.

That's it.

She'll finally understand that you're different from other guys.

Step 7 — THE FINAL MOVE:

At the end of the semester, text her:

Hey, btw thanks for the pen.

She'll probably reply:

What pen?

And that's when you'll know...

The plan has worked perfectly.

Because now both of you are confused.

And apparently, that's what modern dating is.

STOP HURTING MEN!! It breaks my sad little heart to see the world treat guys this way 😢 they deserve better than being expected to pay for every single date, bottle up their feelings, and live without the comfort of being cuddled by their best friend​

A ton of people died.

On that day alone, 343 firefighters lost their lives trying to help those who were trapped. They didn’t know if they would make it out. They helped everyone they could.

Most everybody who was above the impact zone was trapped. There are photos of people jumping out the windows because its the much quicker and painless death rather than burning alive.

Thats not even mentioning the pentagon attack and flight 93, where they literally semi-took back control the plane to crash it into the ground, therefore saving countless other lives. They knew they were probably going to die. It’s horrible but it’s probably one of the bravest things you can do in my opinion. Not a single person on flight 93 survived.

Everybody who died had people who cared about them. It’s semi just disrespectful imo at the end of the day to joke about it (specifically the jokes that take it too far)

edit: i’m not trying to say that humor isn’t subjective or people can think different things are funny. i’m not trying to say its strictly a US thing and that i don’t care about other tragedies elsewhere. i do kinda understand most of the jokes its poking fun at people like osama bin laden. i’m just saying personally i feel as if some people make some jokes that just kind of go to far

So, yesterday i (13m)was texting with that girl (13f)who im best friends with... and she randomly confessed to me. Im honestly in shock.

English is not my first language so I’m sorry if this is structured badly or is confusing. I live in the Middle East and i never felt such a surreal feeling like i do when i look at the dark clouds in the sky from that oil factory, it got hit by the Houthis missiles last night at 1AM I think.

When I went to school and saw the dark clouds, I felt a strange feeling that I NEVER had before in my entire life. I felt so small and insignificant like in such a weird way, I felt sad but not normal sad, like I felt it being inevitable sadness, not the sadness you normally feel. That sadness was a small part, but it felt so weirdly hard not to cry, the dark clouds it’s so different when you see it in video, compared to real life because the reality hits fast and immediate. I was cheered up a bit in class since weirdly enough, not lot of my classmates or teachers seemed to bothered, but the row I sit on has basically every classmate who sits behind me seemingly gone, probably staying home.

My sister was so scared she decided not to go into work today, and I’m thinking of asking my mom if I could stay home the next day and not go to school. From what little research I did on Google, they are only targeting Airports and oil refineries, but that doesn’t stop the thoughts of “what’s stopping them from dropping it directly here? In my home? In my classmates’s homes?”. Worst of all, innocent foreigners and tourists might be stuck here in danger, for something they had no control over. I feel for them, they just wanted a happy time with great memories and now their lives are in danger.

I never once been out of the country, only out of the city, so I feel so stuck here because i don’t think I ever been out of home for too long or for too far. I don’t even think we have the money for it, or be safe enough to even be near one at all.

My only question is “why?”. We all follow the same religion, why would you hurt people who have a similar belief? Why would you possibly ruin families and lives of children? For what? I don’t expect everyone to be buddy buddy but atleast not violence. What if those were your family? Your friends? Your children? I don’t know the full history, but that doesn’t change my question or fear, because the people who are impacted most have NOTHING to do with it, especially children.

I’m trying so hard not to cry, I feel it’s inevitable that this just gonna get worse over time. What hasn’t gone worse when it comes to conflicts like this? I just don’t wanna see people hurt, no matter who they are. But now I have to deal with the reality of this all. I know I’m lucky to not be too close to the area to be negatively affected in any way. But, it’s still so terrifying. What if all I see some years later are just dark clouds? What if it’s not even years later, but months? Weeks? Days?

I don’t wanna see sympathies or prayers, because it’s none of your guys fault and none of you have to apologise for it in anyway whatsoever, I wanna see some jokes and memes if it’s fine. I just wanna be cheered up a bit and try go on with my life and school. Heck, I think I like some dark joke memes too.

Remember to take care and appreciate all you have and yourself, remember to drink water and look in the mirror and say “I look wonderful today”. Regardless of who you are or where you live, regardless of what belief you have. Because you are wonderful

Sorry if it’s too dark, I wanted to put in a dark joke but I’m not much of a comedian.

I think I’m just gonna immerse myself in games and funny videos to avoid the feeling and negativity, maybe occasionally watch the local news but otherwise avoid it.

Edit: had a short call with my older sister, she said it was far away and the only reason i saw it because it was big. I don’t know if i fully believe her, she could be lying to make me feel better. It’s just hard to think it’s far when the smoke seemed so big and high that i almost mistook it for storm clouds or something.

It wouldn’t even be a problem if they were actually good at writing music but unfortunately all Christian music is pure unfiltered ASS
