Yes, but I think in The Fault In Our Stars, Hazel is the real main character. Like it follows her and her interactions with August rather than the both of them. We learn about and know August through her and how he affects her in the end… wait, fuck— I’m thinking of Five Feet Apart (I knew I felt like Hazel wasn’t her name, I was thinking of the wrong damn cancer love movie 😭🤚 I didn’t even watch Five Feet Apart, I’ve only ever read the book…)

Oki, nonetheless, same thing applies. The girl is the real main character and the guy is her love interest who ends up affecting her in some way and we learn about the guy and his situation through the interactions he has with her because the story follows her

Both are same but the thought process is that whenever someone gets cancer they think i will do whatever is pending in my life ie their wishes. This just shows the difference in fantasies of men and women. BTW deadpool had cancer but he does all that shit as he is practically immortal.
