Their are some people that are abusing rpgs claiming they are theraputic sessions to help people with trauma, this kind of thinking invites crazy people into the hobby who abuse others to exploit their innocence, if you see people using the hobby as a reason to mentally diagnois people that is abuse faking as empathy, call them out for everyones safety.

Hi folks, the Kickstarter for Sage Council has officially launched!

Sage Council is a comedic story game about being the city council in a fantasy town. The people who have to clean up the mess adventurers make, handle permits for monsters, and generally keep things running smoothly.

If you're looking for a prepless one-shot, a GMless game for 4-6 players, and an opportunity to enact your local government agenda, back our campaign!

If you want to try the game yourself, we've put a quickstart version up on itch that lets you play one in-game year.

If you're already a backer, please also consider spreading the word to help us reach our goal.

Would anyone be willing to run a weird ttrpg i made years ago? It is inspired by Devil Survivor and Fire Emblem.

Upvotes

Hey so a some years ago I made a very basic ttrpg when a game i was interested in was.....not what i wanted i guess.....

If any of you are familiar with Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE you may know that it was originally pitched as an SMT and Fire Emblem crossover, and that it ended up being....not really like either one. When it came out I decided to try it myself, but lacking any skill with coding i tried my hand at a ttrpg.

It is untested and I dont know much about how balanced it is, plus i never was able to figure out how to upload modifiable grids to show weapon ranges, but i tried to make it all fun and usable otherwise. Having said that it is called Familiar Fate and i will now try to pitch it to you like the blurbs on the backs of ps2 games.

**》Start as a average joe and become something more on a path to avoid an unfortunate end....**

\- Start as a regular person in a profession of your choice.

\- Create a familiar and use their power to escalate yourself into a challenger of false gods.

\- Switch between a wide selection of weapon types, each with their own special gimmicks and effects.

\- learn devastating magic and techniques to to even the odds and grab ahold of your potential to overcome threats.

**》Explore a post world wide web society where incomplete chains of recievers act to carry the burden.**

**-** Find out how a collapsing society pushes recklessly onward in a world without satellites.

\- Learn to use the limited tech available to improve your lives and create new opportunities for success.

\- Use public terminals as a way to access public records, hack into illicit websites, and find rumors which may assist you in your endevors.

**》****Face enemies birthed by a power which is beyond the mortal coil, and bind that power to you in order to exceed your limitations.**

**-** Face four different enemy tribes each with theor own gimmicks, including other humans with their own intentions and agendas.

\- Slay the otherworldly Mirages and use their cores to empower your familiar or your gear in different ways.

\- Face powerful bosses which hoard artifacts capable of crowning gods.

**》Obtain the artifacts of ascension to empower, or else defy those would be gods.**

\- Track down the cannidates for godhood and take their artifacts of ascension, or partner with them to create a new world order.

\- Face a god from every major faction, and decide for yourself who or what is worthy of the Chalice of god.

**Can you successfully cause a deviation in the future of humanity and save yourself, or will you and all that you know be subjected to a Familiar Fate?**

Dice drop generation

Upvotes

Looking for more games that use dice drop generation - IE you drop the dice on paper and depending on the dice results and where they physically land on the paper, that determines how the map turns out. Usually it's for map creation, but I'm interested in this procedure for generating other things like faction dynamics (which Into the Cess and Citadel does). The ones I'm aware of at this point are Cairn 2e, Pirate Borg, Charles Ferguson Avery (Feral Indie Studios) has a bunch - Into the Cess and Citadel as mentioned, Into the Weird and Wyld, and Vast in the Dark... I'm sure that's just scratching the surface, though.

Anyway, I really like this procedure and am looking for more. Drop some recommendations, please and thank you!
