Question Laptop in Suriname

Hi everyone. I'm thinking about moving to Suriname soon and I'm debating whether to bring my own laptop or buy one there. Mine is a bit old, but I'm worried about the prices over there. How much does a decent laptop cost in Suriname and where can I buy it?

Any advice would be amazing

Thanks

I would recommend buying one in your own country first. Most laptops in stores are either outdated or have a high markup compared to the US.
If you do wish to buy one locally just check https://www.smartconnexxionz.com/ for the models and prices.
They're one of the popular electronic stores in the country.

Expect at minimum a 100 usd markup, on most laptops. If you're looking for anything slightly premium ( 750 usd and above) the markups get even worse, just buy it in your current country, or if you're already here, use a freight forwarder to order stuff online and get it sent here, you'll still save money.

Check out air-crate.com, they charge 4.35 per lb if you order with your own card

Anything you buy that is imported from overseas (from suriname's perspective) is gonna cost you double, You are better off bringing the old laptop.
