Isn't the point she's making that her ex was a bad choice to have a baby with, not that having the baby itself was a bad choice? Hence leaving him and now being a single mother

Well she chose to get married in the midst of a whirlwind love affair and then have a child. I’m glad she left while the child is tiny if things were so bad but girlie made all the decisions leading up to this, and her life is not ruined. She just saw the reality of her spirited decisions and realized the reality of it all.

I'm not saying she did or did not make good decisions either, just that the point of the quote is criticising her ex and not the baby.
