Medical research comes mostly from the US. The Americans are funding research, which is then sold in Europe for much less because the EU can demand lower prices.
If that was the case they would just... not sell them in europe.
Either selling at european prices is profitable and the american public is being ripped off or selling at european prices isn't profitable and the pharmaceutical companies are being extremely charitable whenever they sell in europe.
Now... which of these sounds more like what a corporation would do?

That's an America problem, not a capalism problem. Germany and many other capitalist countries have healthcare coverage.
