Features a highly responsible wife treating her goofy, clueless husband like a toddler while shopping. In one of them, she's baby talking to him. In another, she coaxes him out of the car with a beef stick like a puppy.
It's literally one of the most common and enduring tropes in advertising, often called the "Bumbling Husband" or "Incompetent Dad" trope. Advertisers use it heavily because women make up the primary target demographic for household goods and banking services. Making the wife the sensible anchor flatters the consumer.
It isn't just ads. Family Guy, Simpsons, Phil on Modern Family, the dad in the Bernstein Bears. Pretending it doesn't even exist is silly. Come on. It's everywhere and has been for a lifetime.
