I have teenage sons who are active in sports, straight As in school, lead in the plays, extra curricular activities out the wahoo, great group of friends, ladies all around them… But they fucking stink. Febreze is right on track.

Not really. It's just awkward. There's a biological reason your own blood smells bad.

Besides my dad smelling like cigarette smoke, I do not experience this, and yet I don’t feel the urge to commit incest. People who will commit incest if their family members don’t stink are weird.

You absolutely do though. Every human does. You just don't realize it's happening.

Why your mind focused on direct family is interesting, but it works on a far broader spectrum of genetic similarity than that.
