Also, in Texas, the burden of proof for insanity is on the defense. In Massachusetts, burden of proof is on the prosecution. His defense had to prove he was insane when committing the crime while her defense just had to poke holes in the prosecution’s case.
And I'm curious who his lawyer was, she has the best in the business. Sick and tired of this BS comparing men to women and trying to make it about gender to add to misogyny. This is about different laws, different states, and better lawyers. And it's a tragedy if a mentally ill father kills his kids and gets the death sentence, what, you want her to get it, too? But it wasn’t premeditated. She shouldn’t be. And the death penalty isn’t legal in MA. I feel horrible for Lindsey and all her children. She was suffering.
