If I remember correctly the speech, It was more in context of "accepting" or "understanding", not about "forgiving" actually. He stated something like the following: "I'm not against and may understand why lesbians are lesbian, but don't understand why gays are gay. It is men fault that women become lesbians, as they may not be "happy" with men".
He’s still a piece of shit. An old, fat, balding, prejudiced, authoritarian asshole. Here’s hoping the people of Belarus rise up one day and finally get rid of him.
