We issue permanent bans for doxxing and targeted harassment campaigns. That means asking for or posting personal information such as business names, people’s names, etc.

Why? Because of this: https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/1ic7vdt/rule_1_of_this_subreddit_why_it_exists/

Also? Yall made Shiloh Hendrix famous and a near millionaire by sharing her name and crowdfunding link.

You might mean well but yall always end up naming random ass people/businesses and getting innocent people harassed. Or, you make racist cunts rich.

There are THREE different businesses name dropped as this complex in the comment section that I’ve come across so far. They can’t all be the right one, but yall are calling and review bombing all three.

Stop that.

From the original uploader:

"Karen and her buddy called the police on me and my children because we were the only Blacks at the pool, after I showed them proof that I stay here, she requested , asking for my identification. Like who brings ID to a swimming pool?

Anyway, the police came and I intelligently explained I don’t have to show them SHIT! I paid good money like everyone else, except I am Black. Karen was all smiles until the police told them, I don’t have to show them anything.

This really traumatized my children. I might sue these people. This world is terrible, she saw my child crying and begin smiling more. Just for That I got into the pool and played with my boys."

UPDATE: SHE GOT FIRED

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19A1dVQee6/

u/NattG Aug 04 '26

Also, according to his Facebook page, she called the police on them a second time. He went to the front desk to ask for their names, they refused, so he went back to his room, and then the police came knocking on his door saying that she had called him in for harassment. He verbally describes it in a video from his hotel room's balcony.

His second video's description is:

They actually called the police on me a second time when I went to the front desk to ask their names. They NEVER give them to me and were extremely rude to my children and me.

u/EverythingSucksYo Aug 04 '26

How ironic. They call the police on a black man because he wouldnt identify himself but then when asked for their identification, they refuse to give it to him.

u/Noocawe Aug 04 '26

They don't see the irony. They think because of social hierarchy they get to dictate rules for others that they aren't themselves bound too. He should definitely bring a civil suit against the couple and the community for allowing this to get this far.

u/Senior-Friend-6414 Aug 05 '26

I commented that one of the issues in America is that half the country still thinks it’s a white mans country and the other half thinks it’s a country where everyone is equal and those two groups can’t agree on an answer, and I got massively downvoted

u/TheEldest80s Aug 05 '26

I've noticed on Reddit that sometimes you can be spouting obvious, clear-as-fucking-day truth, and will still get downvoted bc some simply don't like to hear it. It's not that your post is inaccurate or irrelevant or off topic...they just don't want to read it, it hits a bit too close to home, or they can't argue with it since it's true...so you just get a bunch of butthurt downvotes and zero responses.

well that's the part of the video we really want to see... the smile being wiped from their faces lol

u/New_Libran Aug 04 '26

Yeah, he stopped recording to take care of the clearly distressed kid. I don't blame him.

u/The_Mellow_Tiger Aug 04 '26

He's a good dad doing good dad things.

u/Stormsurger Aug 04 '26

But he's not very considerate of his online audience craving human cockfighting :(

u/The_Mellow_Tiger Aug 04 '26

Sorry what would you like him to do? Push Karen and her friend in the pool?

Don't answer that, I'm afraid we might agree

u/Sithstress_ Aug 04 '26

Dude, I wanted him to stand up and do a full on “THIS. IS. CHICAGO!!!!” kick her into the pool. Lol. Of course, he’s far too sane and level headed to do that. Those poor boys. That broke my heart.

u/london42069 Aug 04 '26

That ending hit hard for me.
The fact those kids already knew the safest option was de-escalate is sad af.

u/IAmDanHimself Aug 04 '26

Yeah, the kid seeing a police officer causing him to jump to the conclusion that his "daddy might go to jail" is fucking heartwrenching.

u/MillionaireBank Aug 04 '26

thats what hit me too . at least draft a lawyer letter documenting the injustice of that "Sue Karen."

she ruined the two kids time with their dad at a nice pool on a wonderufl summer day. she was in the w r o n g.

To those saying the dad could have prevented traumatizing his kids by complying- while I can see that being a first reaction, stop a minute and think about it. Some of the best life lessons are scary to learn, but the dad had a great, safe opportunity (community pool, no big group of racists, no weapons present) to show his kids how to be calm while at the same time standing up for themselves. Too much unnecessary compliance by people who shouldn't have to is large part of what is intensifying the divides in our society. Had he complied, he would have taught both his kids and the Karens that what was being done was okay. I'm sure the Karens felt no shame, but I hope they were embarrassed. And I hope the dad and kids had a great talk over dinner. (And if the dad has any legal recourse, I hope he pursues it.)

u/Sevla7 Aug 04 '26

Usually de-escalation is the smart choice if you are a human being living in a society... like seriously, a lot of people die thanks to unnecessary escalation. You did some dumb shit? Just say sorry, be humble and respectful, leave.

From what people told here, the "Karen" is the one escalating things and she's lucky the dad is just being "neutral", some crazy people out there would go after her for revenge to protect their kids against someone with ill intent calling the cops.

That was really shocking. It looked like they were enjoying it.

u/gimmethelulz Aug 04 '26

Sadly not shocking if you grew up around assholes like this. I'd be email carpet bombing the executives of the private equity that owns this complex until they gave me a few months' free rent to keep me from suing them.

Black children have experienced racism for the past 200+ years. It's not going to stop Unfortunately

u/og_capsuleer_593 Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

It stops when people beat the shit out of the Karen before the cops get out there

Violence works really well on racists, words don't

If more racists had their racism met with immediate fists to their mouths until unconscious, they would feel less comfortable doing this in public.

They would, you know, learn its wrong and either stop or hide their desire which either way solution was reached.

Unfortunately racists are bullies and bullies only understand one language, so society must express itself very very clearly to correct their misunderstanding

Obviously kids there so can't educate this elderly evil bitch, but in other situations without children a public ass beating is self defense since racism is deadly.

u/markc230 Aug 04 '26

"racism is deadly"

the most clearly, I've ever seen that word explained.

My parents had to explain it to me when I was 4. This is why I look at certain white people sideways when they worry about how learning about racism at the tender age of 14 will impact their darling children. I had already had multiple events happen to me by then, but none of them care about that.

I'm so fucking sick and tired of these weak ego, scaredy cat, racist fucks with their crocodile tears and accusatory mindsets... This the type of shit we have to deal with every damn day. If we don't see it, it's in the back of our minds and our kids have to learn and be aware of it.

Heartbreaking.

This country has a history of racism, systemic racism that a third of this country still denies. Even now, that we can easily capture it on a phone.

And then you see other people around just enjoying the pool, untargeted. Not profiled. Fuck Amerikkka and these people who continue to make it such a shit place.

My kids have told me to leave the situation, they've cried just like this young man, afraid I'd go to jail or be hurt. But no. We confront this shit.

"There's some black family in my apartment complex pool"

Absolutely amazes me how the police seemingly turn up for everything in the US and there are no consequences for wasting police time.

u/EEpromChip Aug 04 '26

Police: "You had me at 'black family'"

Honestly they are less about taking care of citizens and more concerned with corporate protection anymore...

u/alkatori Aug 04 '26

It's not their job to take care of citizens. The Supreme Court has ruled on it multiple times.

u/ghostinthechell Aug 04 '26

The institution of Police in the US has only ever been in place to protect the status quo and interests/assets of the rich. Believing anything else is just buying the lie they sold you. They are not, and never have been, about preserving the safety of the populace.

We had serial squatter family next door who called the cops on my family for walking on the sidewalk (they had multiple cameras set up and would also come outside to yell at people for starting their car to go to work at 8 am or coming home from work after 9 pm, saying it woke them up, saying everyone was drunk, calling us names etc). The cops would come and chastise us even though they admitted nothing illegal had happened.

These squatters had 5 kids who were not allowed outside. They pulled the car into the garage and never spoke to anyone in a neighborhood full of other children. Found out from the landlord they hadn't had water to the house in 2 weeks. Looked up their court history and saw a 2023 protection order filed against the father for ongoing incidents of punches to the head, smothering, forcing the mom into sex, etc in front of the children.

We tried reporting to cps, and then on their advice, to the police for a welfare check. They would not get involved beyond knocking on the door.

Two days after their eviction finally went through (their third in 3 years for non payment), they had to take their suv of their garage to pack. A night later, a repo guy showed and hooked it up. Much yelling and screaming and white lady tears while the jobless husband hid inside yelling out the front window. They called the cops to ask for help getting it back. They came but said they couldn't do anything, and left. So the mom loaded her baby and 5 year old into the car hooked up to the tow truck and refused to get out as it was about to drive away.

I called the cops that there were children being put in danger, she was trying to get the car off the truck using babies, and could see it all clearly from my house. They never showed.

u/LankySandwich Aug 04 '26

This story is wild. Why did it take the repo guys so long to hook the car up to the tow truck, to the point that cops came, and went, and then she was able to load her kids in there??

u/icelessTrash Aug 04 '26

This was around 10 pm, my husband was watching a show and heard a commotion and saw flashing tow truck lights, then saw a cop car shown up. He came and woke me up like it was Christmas morning ("babe I think the neighbors are getting their car repossessed," runs happily back to the front window).

The repo guy had to put the lil wheelie things around the front tires and then lift it so that took time. They were screaming at him about being evicted and needing their vehicle, and i am sure obstructing his work while they called the cops. I think once the cops came and left that's when she said she need to get something out of the car because by the time I got out of bed saw the mom turn on the dome light, pulling bags out and the next thing I know I see little heads and a car seat in there. You lifted it more like he was gonna go. And then she was messing with starting the car so I called the cops at that point, but they never showed back up. I think the tow truck driver realized they weren't going anywhere because they needed it.So he told them he can't keep living like this. And i'm gonna find you later. And unhooked all the equipment for about 10 mins, and left

When I tell you these people's sob stories got them an extra week grace period on eviction, they get limited dissemination, so these evictions aren't showing up on their background check, they are just really good at acting like innocent sob story angels.

It's a real fear for children of colour in the USA.

ICE is running around murdering people in broad daylight, those kids will also have been old enough to learn about BLM and the reason for the protests. Every single day, there are more and more cases of open racism with Police involvement that are rightfully shared online.

And this is CHICAGO. Not some podunk southern hole.

Edit: I tried to Google this to see if the racists have yet faced any consequences. Didn't find anything yet, but so many other articles of this happening over the years popped up. Punch racists.

u/Th3FakeFatSunny Aug 04 '26

Dude people are going fucking nuts, man. I work in a grocery store. In two weeks, I have seen two hate incidents at my work place. One where a lady screamed at a man to go back to his country of origin because.... They bumped carts. On a Friday. When we were busy af. Yesterday, a customer was walking his cart in the parking lot, walking real close to the wall of the building so he wasn't in the way, and a guy yelled out his window to call him a couple of slurs based on the pink-ish shirt he was wearing... Because he was existing walking his cart while wearing a shirt that really looked more red up close.

I really hope this is the death rattle of hate just taking one more violent swing before leaving this world. As dark as it is, now, dawn has to be just beyond the horizon

two women literally smiling while children are crying because they feel so powerful calling the cops.

If they genuinely thought this man shouldn't be there or was dangerous like a normal person they would walk away and call from their office in safety. They are doing this there BECAUSE they are enjoying the kids crying, enjoying upsetting this black man they know is zero threat to his face. Fucking despicable.

Even if this guy was known to not live/be staying there, even if they knew he shouldn't be there, how they are behaving is fucking disgusting. walk away, leave the kids alone, call the cops and have the cops talk to the guy as he leaves.

Dude needs to call a reporter or two, get the story out and get these women fired. I literally don't care who you are, if you were professional and not an evil genuinely disgusting person you would never act like this.

u/iwearatophat Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

To a lot of them racism is only when you shout the n-word. With a hard 'r' at the end. This isn't racism. This was just some community minded individuals who were protecting their pool from people they thought could be outsiders who just happened to be black. Also, since he didn't start recording at the beginning we will see people going 'well, he might have done something before he started recording to warrant this reaction'.

They are going to file a report with the HOA after this because it clearly isn't doing its intended purpose.

The very fact that a child knows that, let's face it, it IS an actual possible outcome that their dad will go to jail is a damning indictment of the world they're growing up in. There should be genuine consequences for these two Stanley Cup-wielding arseholes.

u/peter13g Aug 04 '26

My slow ass was wondering for too long what this had to do with Hockey 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣

My heart bled for that poor kid. He's going to go his whole life remembering this. I just hope he doesn't end up internalising all that hatred. No kid deserves to go through this.

Hearing that little boy cry and hearing the genuine fear in his voice destroys a part of my very soul that I will never get back in this lifetime. I hope with every fiber of my being that she loses her job and is doxxed for what she did. No mercy for these racist pieces of $#*%. I hate this country because of people like that woman.

u/Young_Former Aug 04 '26

That crushed me too. That poor kid doesn’t deserve to feel scared like that.

The problem is they lose their jobs and then seem to fundraise crazy amounts of money through right wing platforms. It’s sick.

EVERYTHING else aside, the place was fucking EMPTY!!!!

You sad pair of bitches.

u/RickyRocaway Aug 04 '26

No one should be surprised this is happening in 2026. It’s been happening the entire time the only difference is that everyone has a cam and uses it as a soft form of protection and proof collector.

But trust, it’s been happening non-stop since ever.

Fucking bitch. When that baby started crying my heart seized up. He's good and traumatized now

u/larry_alligator Aug 04 '26

it's beyond f'ing absurd that this poor kid has to witness his family being treated like this in 2026. I'm not surprised, but still.

u/UglyFilthyDog Aug 04 '26

As soon as that little boy started crying I did too. I've had a lot of people accused me of being an immigrant because I'm brown a lot of times even when I was young. That is going to leave a mark on that poor lad.

I would love if they tried this in Brazil, where racism is a crime. She would be very happy in jail. Recently an Argentinian tourist offended someone and was arrested. Her face was precious being put in cuffs.

Surprised they didn't just go right ahead and call ICE. Really disgusting. That poor child, nobody should have to face that. I'm glad that Dad didn't back down, but... the very fact that they're having to stand their ground just to exist in that space. What a world.  Suppose it's too much to hope she got done for wasting police time 😕

EDIT: ffs in no way am I saying ICE should have been called. Jesus wept.

u/Phainkdoh Aug 04 '26

ICE is called for brown people. The police is called for black people. Please get your racism right. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

u/Successful_Scratch99 Aug 04 '26

I'm going to need a racism "cheat sheet"

File a complaint using fair housing. Shit about to get real. Breaking fair housing laws is huge . Do they ask id from everyone using the pool area? If not sue the property manager and the property managment company because you have been discriminated under Fair Housing laws. Property Manager can be held personally responsible for damages. I am a Property Manager and we take classes once a year for Fair Housing. Good luck!

Hope she ends up in jail, thats a terrible thing to put children through....or anyone. I speak as a white irish man and in my own country decades ago store windows had signs that said "no dogs, no blacks, no irish". I feel this mans frustration and his children's vulnerable emotions.

The day I see this happening in person is the day I get arrested. So fucking fed up of these dusty old whites bothering literally anyone. Hearing that poor baby cry and try to diffuse is just heartbreaking.

u/Nonyabeesners Aug 04 '26

Sigh. Tried to look it up and see if this woman lost her job. This has happened so many times it's hard to narrow down

As a white passing but mixed race person, nothing would make more happy than tossing this woman in the pool in front of the family she is harassing. I'd gladly take a few hours of inconvenience for that satisfaction.

These damn Nazi wankers. And that disgusting bitch with her filthy, shitty drinking cup, which immediately exposes her as a victim of all campaigns. In a just world, these antisocial, agitating creatures would be the ones who had to identify themselves because they sow discord and hatred, and they should definitely be banned from the pool, especially since they are obviously freezing and shouldn't be at the pool. And behind their sunglasses they hide, like millions of their brothers and sisters in spirit. I hate them both intensely.

u/Vierge99 Aug 04 '26

Please tell me she suffered some kind of consequence... This is just horrible.

u/UncleFuzzy75 Aug 04 '26

White guy here, sorry you guys have to endure this. Not all of us see things this way.

u/Bindaloo Aug 04 '26

Well this made me cry, that poor little boy crying and begging his dad to get his ID so he wouldn't go to jail was heartbreaking. America's racism problem seems to be getting worse.

u/Fellers Aug 04 '26

That poor kid. I feel so bad.

u/Obvious_Conflict_ Aug 04 '26

This shit is so sad. The second hand embarrassment I feel for those kids are next level. Literally just existing smh

u/SweetLoLa Aug 04 '26

It’s a choice, waking up everyday to be a miserable jerk to anyone else, let alone children. She makes that choice everyday. Miserable skunk.

u/marcusmosh Aug 04 '26

Those poor kids, man. These people need to lose their fucking jobs.

u/Blackant71 Aug 04 '26

We all know the only reason she wanted his ID was because they are black. I experienced this numerous times living in apartments. Absolutely no reason for them to traumatize those folks like that.

u/Available-Bee-3419 Aug 04 '26

Holy shit, when the child starts to cry. . I can even.. Buddha be with me cause 💔

u/brenden77 Aug 04 '26

That child is unfortunately learning this bullshit at an early age. SMDH

As another black father i feel for this man and his kids. We do everything in our power to give them a good life, and protect them from the racism in the world. All it takes is one event.

u/ReasonablePossum_ Aug 04 '26

Isn't discrimination something completely suable, and like an automatic social media cancelling for the business and a firing for the assholes involved?

u/Timelymanner Aug 04 '26

Looks like it’s a gated community. So no business to boycott. It’s not like the residents are going to sell their homes and move out.

Them being fired is a possibility. If this gets enough traction locally, the development isn’t going to appreciate the bad rap. Who wants to move into the racist neighborhood? Plus the family could file for a discrimination suit.

She did that AFTER you had showed her proof you stayed there...

Stupid Ignorant woman...

I hope little lad gets to enjoy the pool and has the best time

u/abrknl Aug 04 '26

She should be sued for harassment.

u/PartyRequirement9088 Aug 04 '26

This pisses me off. Leave black people alone. Now that baby is crying because he thinks his dad is going to jail-for swimming in a pool. Leave black people alone. If they live there or not, what does it matter? Leave black people alone. They arent hurting anything, the pool isnt crowded. Leave black people alone. Its not hard to keep walking. You dont need to converse with that man, you can say 'hi' and keep it moving. Leave black people alone.
