Right? Everyone who voted blue, voted to save their farms and when we lost they laughed with their 'cry more liberal tears!!!!'. Maga literally voted against keeping their farms and mocked us when our plan to save them failed.
Trump screwed them his 1st term and then gave them all a huge fucking bailout, so they voted for him again for another bailout. Except Trump doesn't need them anymore cause he's gonna use his gestapo, fear, and friends to rig the elections for years to come for his side.
And they come at us with their 'but you're the party of acceptance, you have to help us!!". Except we don't. We accept people who are decent and caring and can't find acceptance because of religion, race, creed, or sexual orientation. It is not a carte blanche acceptance to be abused, threatened, and mocked by Maga at every turn. People are DYING because they voted with their greedy, piggy hearts.
So no, no one cares they might have to pack their shit and leave their homes. No one cares that farmers are disenfranchised when people have lost their lives and families because of them. No one cares that farmer 'Go Fuck Yourself Libs' might have to get a job picking their neighbors crops for pennies on the dollar when children are turning up pregnant in concentration camps because of rape by ICE officers.
We tried to help you once and you showed us who you really are. And we don't help monsters pull themselves out of the trap they willingly walked into because they were promised a check.

These are the people who were convinced that if our government dispatched masked mercenaries around the country to harass dark-skinned people, Trump was going to conjure rainbows with pots of gold for the "real Americans". You can't be that hateful and that gullible, expecting pity you wouldn't show others.
Fun fact, Mr Farmer: the rest of us have already accepted what your decisions at the voting booth have brought to pass. We are preparing for the potential end. Our government has been overrun by apocalyptic/genocidal billionaires; all because you thought a gold-plated, pedophile Messiah was going to make you rich.
But..you expect pity when your welfare-subsidized farm is going belly up?
•
u/Squidlips_69 1d ago
Typical trump: Blame it on "price gouging" and not the stupidity of tariffs and an unnecessary war. Sue people, try to throw money at it but never admit you screwed up.

Hey, I know you thought that there was no way the diasterous trade war Trump engaged with China in his first term that forced a huge bailout of the soybean industry which still has not recovered couldn't possibly be repeated at a larger scale....but at least the brown people are scared, amiright?

Have the day you voted for.
•
u/VALO311 17h ago
Unfortunately people who didn’t vote for it are having that same day.
Yet when people they don’t vote for do good things to help them. These right wing idiots still complain.

Phew, good job you guys didn't alienate all of your trading partners whilst trying to rip us off with your tariffs, so we can run to your aid. Oh, wait....

They sit in their tractors, combines, and trucks for hours every day listening to right wing radio. After decades of that they are completely brainwashed. Forty years of propaganda and hate mongers and here we are mirroring the fascists we fought in WWII.

I don’t know why anyone would feel bad for these rural geniuses.
When you see them say things like ‘that’s not even doable’ the reason they sound exhausted is because they’re just tired from all the winning.
They might be a little tuckered out when the bank comes to take their farm but don’t worry, those are just liberal tears they’ll be crying so they don’t count.

Hidden Easter egg in the report: the last cow shown has a nametag that says her name is "Not Sure" -- which is the name of the protagonist in the movie Idiocracy.

Please excuse my ignorance, but why aren't they planting nitrogen-fixing crops during the fall/winter instead of buying nitrogen fertilizer?
•
u/Fantastic_Key_8906 18h ago
Shouldn't have splooged out on all those avacado toasts. And 40-50 dolls.

u/MattheWWFanatic 1d ago
When all you do is raise crops, you don't have manure to put on the field. Gotta chase those high yields though.
•
u/Glum_Opening_2218 1d ago edited 1d ago
118 TONS of fertilizer? I don't farm so obviously it's an extremely different scale, but Jesus Christ by mulching and mulching alone I can keep my vegetable garden having good healthy productive soil.
What the fuck are you doing to your soil that you need to inject literal TONS of nitrogen, regenerative farming is the future.
•
u/Separate-Pain4950 1d ago
Iowan here: Mono culture has pissed away in 100 years half the topsoil that took thousands of years to accumulate. They can harvest one corn crop without added fertilizer. Every corn crop after that won’t be anywhere close to yielding the maximum bushel per acre. They painted them selves in a corner relying on foreign produced fertilizers. They will be having the day they voted for. Take your medicine, Iowa corn growers.
•
u/witchspoon 1d ago
Corn, for instance sucks nitrogen right out of the soil. Things like beans replace it but that’s not a crop that is subsidized/highly profitable.
I’m guessing there’s not enough composted cow poop to use on their fields either. But also fertilizer is affected by someone’s tariffs with Canada.
•
u/Bender_2024 1d ago
I’m guessing there’s not enough composted cow poop to use on their fields either.
I'm no expert but it seems unlikely that someone who is using that much fertilizer is also raising cattle. You would do one or the other. Not both.

u/GreatPlainsFarmer 16h ago
How many tons of compost are you applying to your garden on a per-acre basis? A 100’ by 100’ garden is about a quarter acre. He’s applying a couple hundred pounds or so of that fertilizer per acre, or 50ish lbs per 100’ by 100’ square.
How many tons of vegetables are you producing per acre on a dry matter basis?
The average acre of Iowa corn is producing more plant material than an average garden by an order of magnitude. Veggies dry down pretty light when you take out the water. You don’t get much off an acre on a dry matter basis.
You don’t need much fertilizer because you’re not removing a lot of plant material from your garden. He’s removing several tons per acre of grain.
Those nutrients need to be replaced in order to not deplete the soil.

Super awesome that my tax dollars are paying for Trump's non-stop f ups. Especially the fact that those tax dollars go toward the same people who voted Trump because it made their racist pee-pees get hard.
•
u/Neighborhood_watch27 20h ago
Doesn't anyone see this is a planned land grab? As well as a plan to sew chaos into our society and turn our citizens against each other? Isn't it obvious yet?
•
u/jkurology 18h ago
How much does the US government pay farmers to grow corn…somewhere between 2 and 5 billion dollars a year in one form or another.
•
•
u/S0undpl0t 20h ago
This is all by design. A feature the 4D chess they all misunderstood is that now their farms will be purchased at pennies (or now nickels being that pennies are no longer minted) on the dollar by billionaires. The plan is working perfectly
•
•
u/Late-Arrival-8669 19h ago
Dont care about the farmers, they made their bed.
Do not think for a second, this administration cares about collusion either.
This is either about enriching someone, or destroying the country. I cannot make the distinction but its one of these..
•
u/MaliciousIntentWorks 17h ago
Sorry framers but those same fertilizer companies that are price gouging you donated heavily into Trump's campaign and personal finance. Any "investigation" is just bs lip service. It's a pay to play administration and they paid and now your getting played.

these welfare queen farmers better pull themselves up by their bootstraps. 0% sympathy for them. They voted for this.
•
u/Coffee-pepper 21h ago
What's stopping them from using other sources to fertilize their crops?
I wouldn't be sitting around waiting for the government to help me; I'd be researching other avenues to feed my crop.
For example, for future crops, the German method called hugelkuktur. This worked wonders for my gardens, but it does take planning and 1 year prior to build it up and let it "ferment". But once it's ready, it lasts for years!
I'm pretty sure there are dozens of alternatives available to farmers rather than just fertilizer; cover crops, compost, animal manure, etc...
P
•
u/GreatPlainsFarmer 11h ago
That increased his overall costs by about $30-40/acre. Since that video was filmed, the value of his corn crop has increased $120-180/ acre.
He can afford the fertilizer.

I give you my word, she's going to fix the tariffs too! I give you my word, she's going to fiiiiiiiiiiiix🎶 the economy...

The cow in the last shot is named "Not Sure", which might be reference to the character in the movie "Idiocracy". Seems very fitting and hopefully that's why it's named that and why they showed its name

They could blame Trump for starting a war his advisers told him would shut down the Hormuz Strait, through which 33% of the nitrogen fertilizer used to travel through.
But nope, it's the fertilizer companies. I'll never understand it. Maybe it's because they love the stimmy checks so much.
