We made it to Reddit News Top 10!

Post image
Upvotes

r/LeopardsAteMyFarm has officially broken into Reddit’s Top 10 News communities (#8 actually!) with more than 400,000 weekly active users.

That is an incredible milestone for a sub built around keeping an eye on the real-world consequences of policy, politics, and the choices people insist could never affect them personally.

To everyone who posts, comments, moderates, reports duplicates, adds context, brings receipts, and somehow still finds the perfect headline: thank you. The thoughtful discussion, dark humor, informed debate, and collective ability to spot a leopard-shaped problem before it reaches the farmhouse are what make this community special.

Growth brings more visibility... and more responsibility; let’s keep the standards that got us here:

  • Keep submissions relevant and sourced.
  • Read the rules before posting.
  • Debate ideas without attacking each other.
  • Report rule-breaking content rather than feeding it.
  • Welcome new members, even if they have not yet encountered the leopards.

From a niche corner of Reddit to one of the platform’s most active News communities: 400,000+ people showed up this week because this conversation matters.

Thank you all for making r/LeopardsAteMyFarm what it is. Here’s to the next milestone! 🐆

New Rule: #8647: No TDS or low effort comments

Upvotes

The only folks that use "TDS" unironically are fervent Trump supporters and cultists. Trump(s) have been "deranged" for generations. The only deranged folks are those that voted for and support a felon (34 felony convictions), rapist, pedo, liar wife-beater, cheater, draft-dodging conman.

Violators will be banned for 34 days (one day for each of Trump's 34 felony convictions) upon the first offense, and permabanned upon a second offense.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!! BYC100X

Farmer Loses 250k of Revenue Due to Ice Raids

The result is exactly what farmers were warned about: crops don’t wait for politics. When experienced agricultural workers disappear, fruit stays on the trees and rots, farmers lose revenue, workers lose wages, and those losses can eventually work their way into food prices. Reporting shows this isn’t simply about undocumented workers either, the fear surrounding enforcement has affected workers with legal status and work authorization as well.

MAGAT farmers are losing their farms just to “own the libs.” Now they’re begging us to make it stop, while proudly admitting they’ll vote for the same Republicans who ruined them. You can’t cure this level of stupid. WTF. 🤦‍♂️

Someone explain this to me please

So, the white magats farmers and the not working class of them claimed that imagrants are stealing their jobs and voted for the farting guy to deport them. Now they are crying because their workers have been deported or don’t feel safe to work there and crying wolves. The same people who were crying that immigrants stole their jobs and living off the government are living off the government and they don’t want to work so they don’t lose the benefits they are getting for free that Obama and Biden gave them even though they voted against those benefits and called Biden a communist and socialist. Now they are calling for the government to save their fat butt heads with more aid. But they voted against that aid. My brain is not able to process this, seriously guys 🤔🤯😡

In Real Time Iowa Farmer Faces Reality: Fertilizer Costs Are Putting Him Out of Business

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

Fertilizer costs are squeezing American farmers at a time when many already have razor-thin margins. USDA now forecasts fertilizer, lime and soil-conditioner expenses will rise 15.3% in 2026, adding roughly $5.3 billion to farmers’ costs. Total U.S. farm production expenses are projected to reach nearly $493 billion this year. Economic Research Service

In Iowa, the numbers are brutal. One farmer reported nitrogen fertilizer rising from about $490 per ton in 2021 to $1,150 per ton this year.

Another Iowa farmer said fertilizer prices are the highest he’s ever experienced. When the cost of simply putting a crop in the ground keeps climbing while farm margins remain tight, farmers aren’t just making less money, they’re being pushed toward the point where farming itself is no longer financially sustainable.

A new report finds that Trump is making millions off of his oil and gas stocks. His administration officials likely are, too.

I got a hard truth to tell you. This is in the literal and metaphorical sense 100% accurate. It Super Hard right now.... All these dudes complaining about their farms being bought up need to be reminded that JD Vance is waiting to gobble it up just like Hungry Hungry Hippo. Im absolutely sure JD does not care if Big Bubba next door has a crush on u in AR, MN, KY, IA, etc.

yet all hope is not lost u still have one last option.
