I mean, it is the explicit goal of this administration, so, yes.

u/Venusgate 2d ago

The trump administration doesn't trust the government

u/VG_Crimson 2d ago

They are the government sooo

u/Brave-Car9473 2d ago

I think you’re missing the point. It doesn’t say trump or republicans. It includes the entirety of the government that people don’t trust. I’m of the same opinion. I just get told it’s not a valid one and means I’m a complicit Nazi.

u/Just_Cartographer258 2d ago

Seems like you might be self aware..

u/ArianaGrandeGlazer 2d ago

“Eh heh I dont know statistics but me wike propaganda and calling critical thinkers nazi”

u/Just_Cartographer258 2d ago

Lol.. Bless your heart you think you're a critical thinker.. thanks for the laugh..

u/ArianaGrandeGlazer 2d ago

Wow, a redditor questioned my intellectual will, what am I to do? 🫩✌️

u/HypocriteHere 2d ago

Look inward for once? Actually be a critical thinker instead of just insisting you are?

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

You'll turn to drunkenness like the Critical Drinker because your takes require a BAC of 0.30.

u/ArianaGrandeGlazer 2d ago

Who tf is the critical drinker?

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

They can’t name one because of their heroes have committed crimes against humanity.

They’ll bring up Obama and Biden like they did anything for the middle class and bring up the orange man anytime they need an out.

And they have the audacity to mention critical thinking.

Absolutely hypocritical.

u/ArianaGrandeGlazer 2d ago

? Who’s “They” bro

u/Ras-haad 2d ago

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that it happened while Republicans control every branch of the government AND the Supreme Court

u/harryholla 2d ago

You think the entire government is corrupt and people call you a complicit Nazi for that? There’s definitely a lot more to that than you’re letting on.

u/Brave-Car9473 2d ago

Looks like someone is practicing psychology again without a degree.

u/harryholla 2d ago

My point is that everyone thinks the government is corrupt because it’s obviously true, so it makes no sense for people to call you a Nazi for agreeing with something blatantly obvious that everyone else mostly also believes so there is most likely more to your story. Not really psychology so much as logic.

u/PopBulky7023 2d ago edited 2d ago

The number has gone up because people obsessed with breaking government and committing crimes have taken over. So what little bit of good function and trust was left in some institutions is now gone.

Republicans have made government everything they accused it of being.

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Agreed but so have democrats

u/Steelers711 2d ago

Source?

u/Altruistic-Use-8283 2d ago

Maybe. It largely depends on how the question was worded, and how it's interpreted by an individual. If the question was, "do you beleive government corruption is widespread?" It is reasonable to assume many responses are directly linked to the controlling part of the federal government.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Wtf is with these people in here? Do they truly believe that the left can do no wrong?

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

It's pretty simple really: This comes on the heels of republicans going full reta..., I mean maga, and injecting insane corruption into every part of America that they could, and they have complete control of the country, so they can reach everywhere....everywhere.

The only people who actually pretend politics is tribal survival where their tribe can do no wrong are the radical, violent right.

Jan 6th anybody?

Stolen secrets that would have any of us executed post haste anybody?

Goddamnit, Americans have fallen so far.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Wild lol, I'm not even trying to defend the current administration, but the blowback im getting for stating that government corruption is bi-partisan insane 🤣

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

It's because you boys are missing the ability to tell the difference in magnitude, severity, and frequency.

Look up how many people from the R and D admind have been charged and convicted of crimes and come back to reality with us.

It's like 90% Rs being criminals to 10% Ds.

This shit is insane to see y'all struggle with.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

So you agree there's some corruption on the left?

u/Electric_Antimony 1d ago

Do you agree that the numbers 10 and 100,000 are numbers?

u/Show_Bull 1d ago

Nope, I'm gonna take the liberal stance and say that 10 is, in fact, not a number

u/Electric_Antimony 1d ago

Oof, you had to let that mask slip so easily.

What even is your point here, that because there is one instance of corruption on "the left" that the insane corruption on the Lunatic Right doesn't matter somehow?

Can you walk me through that logically?

I know you can't, but i could use a good laugh.

→ More replies (0)

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

We don’t struggle with anything. There’s criminals on both sides and you keep voting for one side.

Lying is lying but when you have Stockholm syndrome, I guess your fear reigns supreme.

u/Electric_Antimony 1d ago

What kind of failed AI bot failure was that?

u/Brave-Car9473 2d ago

That’s the problem I keep finding. I’m a democrat but any criticism I’m a Nazi and a far right whatever. Shits goofy

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Yeah, if you're not faaaarr left, then you're Nazi right, no in-between. sosry 🤣🤣🤣

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

Bullshit.

I'm a center right anti social justice dude and y'all are full of bs lol.

Now go onto the real conservative media sites and see what they are like. This place is hugs and kisses compared to out and out terrorists like the MN republicans who organized a terrorist attack on that bridge as a distraction for kidnapping the Democratic governor.

You'd die of shock.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

u/Electric_Antimony 1d ago

Exactly, even you and your following alt account know that reddit is nothing compared to what the far right is doing online.

It's why I roll my eyes and laugh at the idea that reddit is terrible; I've seen real terrible stuff and it's from the Lunatic Right.

Jan 6th anybody?

Treason?

u/LovedButNeverLiked 2d ago

Blue MAGA

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

u/LovedButNeverLiked 2d ago

Of course you do.

u/Electric_Antimony 2d ago

Can you even describe what blue maga is?

Because nobody is even remotely close to as rabidly stuck in a Qult as republicans are.

They tossed Biden and then didn't show up for Harris. Meanwhile, trump committed an insurrection, etc, etc, etc, etc, and they're still 100000000% in lock step with him.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Oh yeah....the insurrection....that was pretty scary

→ More replies (0)

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

You bring up the “insurrection” (rolls eyes) as if it’s worse than starting a war in Iran.

Absolutely ridiculous logic but VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO, right?

🤦‍♂️

→ More replies (0)

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Sure 🤣 love my country, hate the people in charge

u/LovedButNeverLiked 2d ago

Exactly. The people in this sub make me sick with their blue team worship. They're no different than MAGA in terms of level of ignorance. They might be a different kind of ignorant, but similar in intensity.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Lol, y'all act like it's only on one side of the isle

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

Here comes the both sides guy 🤯🤷

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

What kind of argument is that?

All you people say is, “both sides do it!” And then have nothing to support that were wrong.

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

🤣 the unprecedented corruption by your president isn't enough proof for you?

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

He comes the "we do it too, but we're not as bad as them" guy 🤣

Ignorant take lol

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

Yeah, I'm the ignorant one.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

You're the one minimalizing the corruption in one party because the others is worse. I'd say yes, that's an ignorant take.

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

I didn't say it's non-existent.

Even pretending that both parties are equally corrupt is beyond obtuse. It's blatant denial.

Most of the time people who make the claims similar to the ones you are making, they realize they've been duped and can't trust the Republican party but it must be that both sides are completely corrupted because there's no way you could be that stupid. Is that about right?

Or you're a 3rd party voter who believes their above voting for the 2 main parties and think wasting their vote is some sort of protest...

So which one are you?

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Bold assumptions you're making. When did I say equally corrupt? I'm simply saying that's it's not just one party like the original comment implied. Good effort on the pigeon-hole though 👏

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

You didn't say my assumption are incorrect...

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Your assumptions are incorrect

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Let me ask you this....do you think that there is corruption in both parties? Do you think there is potential for corruption in both parties? Very straight-forward yes/no questions

→ More replies (0)

u/New_Opportunity_6160 2d ago

Except, is it not both sides? Our entire government is bought and paid for.

u/HypocriteHere 2d ago

It's, openly, all of one side and then a quiet handful of the other. You thinking it's ALL of them is precisely the goal of the shitty ones.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

"You thinking it's ALL of them is precisely the goal of the shitty ones"

Prefaced by saying the entirety of one side is corrupt....you hear yourself talking, right? 🤣🤣🤣

Username checks out, I guess

u/New_Opportunity_6160 2d ago

Except, it is actually all of them. Check the financial records of corporate donors. There are maybe 10 Democrats in Congress who are impervious to lobbying.

u/paintballboi07 2d ago

No, the government is not inherently corrupt. We elect representatives, and they can be corrupt, but we don't have to elect corrupt pieces of shit. That's supposed to be the point of elections. By equating them all, you're helping the most corrupt.

u/New_Opportunity_6160 2d ago

Are governments inherently corrupt? Of course not. The current one is though. And by avoiding that truth, you're helping them more than you think.

Democrats are not an opposition party. They are designed to oppress an actual opposition party.

u/Vanilla_Gorilluh 2d ago

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

This is exactly right. Ideal.

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

That scored is skewed.

u/Beautiful_Nobody_344 2d ago

No it's not. It's not a hyperbole, your side comes out with more corruption each and every day. Nobody is up in arms because the democrats are corrupt, oh wait, just you and your kind.

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Trump is not MY SIDE, ignoramus. I don’t support the left nor right.

Jesus it’s like arguing with monkeys around here.

u/changopdx 2d ago

bOtH sIdEs

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Lemming response that doesn’t say I’m wrong.

u/changopdx 2d ago

You are wrong. Hope that helps.

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Nothing else to add? Typical

u/Beautiful_Nobody_344 2d ago

You think you're superior for not choosing a side but you're just part of the problem. Duning Krueger effect. Yet I'm the monkey.

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

You're one of the vote 3rd party because I'm above the 2 party system.

Either way, your vote is worthless. And if you completely waste your vote then your opinion is extremely diluted.

u/super_chill_21 2d ago

So you support a pdo?

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Did I say I support Trump?

Reading is fundamental.

u/cmwills29 2d ago

There will always be sellouts on both sides, but only one side is trying to fight corruption

u/Show_Bull 2d ago edited 2d ago

Sure they are, bud...sure they are.. 🤣🤣

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

lol
Are you kidding me? You don’t believe the left is corrupt at all?

u/cmwills29 2d ago

I explicitly said many are? Do you read?

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

“Only one side is trying to fight corruption.”
Reading is fundamental.

u/cmwills29 2d ago

"There will always be sellouts on both sides" Reading comprehension is fundamental.

As the government is made up of many people, there are Democrats who are corrupt, and Democrats who fight the corruption. There are no Republicans currently fighting the corruption in this administration except maybe Thomas Massie, who really only started when he lost his reelection for speaking out against Trump

u/Most-Significance910 2d ago

Yeah, and that's the people that are advocating for voter ID

u/Beautiful_Nobody_344 2d ago

You mean the people dismantling mail in voting to suppress votes?

u/That-Brain-in-a-vat 2d ago

And closing 30% of voting sites,.

u/Most-Significance910 2d ago

What's your suggestion to prove that someone is a legal resident and actually them that voted via mail-in ballot

u/Beautiful_Nobody_344 2d ago

u/Most-Significance910 2d ago

I don't see the problem, if you have to show your ID to register to vote then why can't you just do that at the polls?

u/Steelers711 2d ago

Probably the system we already have that already works

u/Most-Significance910 2d ago

There was a Software glitch caused 6,600 noncitizens in New Jersey to be able to register to vote. Even with that glitch present, the 600 noncitizens that voted wouldn't have been able to do so had voter id been implemented.

u/Hazel-Rah-Rah 2d ago

And you're acting like they are both equally terrible.

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

They are.

u/jerodimus 2d ago

The left: "We want all humans without exception to have all human rights without exception." The right: "We want to hunt people who aren't white for sport." A simpleton: "These two groups of people are exactly the same."

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Go outside and touch grass bro, cause you're fucking wildin' 🤣🤣🤣

u/jerodimus 2d ago

Yes, a simpleton like you would think that

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Dude, go back and read your first statement, that's some of the most broad simpleton shit I've ever heard 🤣 anyone that leans right just wanna hunt non-white people... wtf are you talking about

u/jerodimus 2d ago

Yes, have you been ignoring the baying masses cheering on Trump's Gestapo as they violently remove brown patients from hospital beds and dentist's chairs?

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

You mean the agency enforcing customs and immigration?

u/jerodimus 2d ago

Ah, so you are one of the "hunt brown people for sport" people - explains your defensiveness and nonsense opinions.

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

I'm one of the "immigrate through legal means" people. What a wild concept, right?

u/MushroomOk6938 2d ago

The party of "mass deportation now!":

"Bro you're so dumb we don't want to hurt non-white people we just want to take away their livelihood and screw them over lol" 🤡

u/Show_Bull 2d ago

Is that why this administration is handing out h1b's like they're going out of style??

u/MushroomOk6938 1d ago

Lil' bro got baited 😅

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Just this one admin, though?

u/ArchonFett 2d ago

I mean only one came close that was the 45th president.

u/Dry_Combination4070 2d ago

To the point of putting their own lawyer as the head of the doj, selling crypto while president and pushing stocks they own on TV and giving their kids government contracts I mean that's not even 1 percent of it.

I don't see why Republicans pretend to not even support corruption.

u/Glass-Violinist-3549 2d ago

This administration has accomplished more corruption in the first 18-months than the entire history of the American government combined. Absolutely, authentically factual that I would bet my literal life on it.

u/Good_Imagination_577 2d ago

I wouldn’t do that because, due to its nature, you’re completely unaware of the existence of most of it.

The difference with this lot is that they seem to have stopped giving a toss about hiding it.

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

You would bet your liberal* life on it.

Corrected it for you.

Republicans = democrats

u/Dry_Combination4070 2d ago

Is this the Republican cope when they don't have actual arguments?

They break down to muh bothsidez

Why would anyone try to simp for a pedophile protecting party that is destroying the economy and stealing all our tax dollars

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

Am I coping for or with republicans? Can you comprehend the words on my comments or do you just want to believe that all Americans are either democrats or republicans?

Jesus it’s like you can’t critically think that THERE MIGHT POSSIBLY be a third option.

u/Dry_Combination4070 2d ago

I mean anyone who tries to equate what Republicans are doing and have done as democrats being the same doesn't have either the crital thinking skills and or is just a Republican or as they say "centrist" yet they seem to defend Republicans all the time.

Since you say both sides are the same tell me when has a Democrat president sold crypto, given their sons government contracts while in office, appointed their ex lawyer as the head of the doj and sued their own government?

Don't forget also set up a fake elector scheme to rig the elections with the help of their party.

u/Mikkel65 2d ago

You can always find individual people in the Democratic party that are bad, but the literal leader of the Republicans is one of the worst I've ever seen.

u/OmgHowww 2d ago

I don’t disagree. But voting in the next horrible Democrat is just as bad in my opinion.

The common denominator is that the American middle and poor classes do not improve whatsoever.

u/Mikkel65 2d ago

There's clearly one lesser of two evils imo. There's a big difference in voting in a corrupt president, and voting in a president who's in a party with a couple corrupt people.

u/golfwinnersplz 2d ago

This administration puts everyone else to shame.
