Approx. 25-30 percent of American adults are MAG-gots. So, if the nearly 90 percent figure cited in this study is accurate, it means that well over half of all MAG-gots actually believe that corruption is rife in the US govt. And yet, they still cling to their Orange Lord and Savior. That's loyalty for you.

90% of Americans don't believe in the same corruption, though. For instance, I don't believe the civil service is corrupt. I don't believe election results have any material levels of fraud or manipulation.
But I do believe Trump, his family, and his cronies are making crazy money on actual factual bribes, noncompetitive bids on government contracts, Ponzi schemes, and market manipulations. I believe Trump is one of the biggest liars in human history and is poisoning people's minds against democracy and the rule of law. I believe he is maliciously prosecuting people. I believe Trump and his allies are doing race-based gerrymandering and race-based purges of voting rolls. And I believe Trump did set afoot an insurrection on 1/16/21 and is capable of doing so again--as evidenced by pardoning numerous insurrectionists.

The fact that they only think it's now widespread is the sad part about this. As soon as the idiot family who does it all in the open leaves office, people will just return to assuming the corruption is all over and it's not as widespread.
The entire socio-political order is inherently and foundationally corrupt. It's all been founded on cronyism from the start. The entire state/government apparatus exists to serve at the pleasure and discretion of landed and extremely wealthy elites. Always has done. Ordinary people have a minute say in how things are done in their own country. Everything is decided by wealthy elites. All policy decisions.
What makes the current, idiot, ruling family "more corrupt" is that they openly play favourites between different corporate entities. And worse still they don't necessarily favour US based elites over foreign elites, like a good President should.
