šŸŽ™ļø r/PodcastGuestExchange Promos

Thumbnail drive.google.com
Upvotes

Per u/IntergalacticPodcast, I've made a few, very short promos you might use in your productions to get more folks to join us here. More people means increased probability you'll find cool guests for your podcast, or that you can find the right podcast for your voice.

I'm also working on getting these done in a female voice, and will post those when they're ready.

Currently, three promos (< 15s each) are in the linked google folder.

u/Jimbostank also had a brilliant suggestion: "Maybe we can start a norm where we mention that we met on r/podcastguestexchange." A simple mention goes a long way. And our thanks to you if you choose to do that.

Disclaimer: No one makes any money off this effort. The mods are volunteers and we're all here to help each other make great content.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Self-published Author looking to guest on a podcast about my upcoming Webcomic Series - All for One!

Upvotes

- Name: Artisticallyy / Author

- Website link: allforonewebcomic.carrd.co

- Areas of Interest & Expertise:

Writing, Storytelling, and Illustrating

- Prior experience podcasting?: I've appeared on a few podcasts and have experiences talking about my upcoming comic.

- I enjoy talking and can keep the conversation going. I very much enjoy expressing my creative side and explaining the interworking of comic creation and script writing. I've been working on this project for 7+ years and it has truly been a joy and I consider it my baby. I'm enjoying discussing the project and the good I believe it can cause. I'm also a self-published co-author of a multi-celebrity endorsed children's book series (The Merdragon + The Merdragon: Secrets). I don't mind talking about it that project, but I prefer to speak about the comic (All for One) in general. I am, however, comfortable speaking on the journey from children's book to a late teen - young adult comic series that follows formulas of Steven Universe, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and Gravity Falls.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Constellation – Seeking interesting people, stories, ideas & perspectives for long-form conversations

Upvotes
  • Name of Podcast: Constellation
  • SFW/NSFW: Open to both depending on the conversation.
  • Experience: 0 Episodes. Just starting out.Ā
  • Format: Online conversation, or in-person if you’re in Melbourne, Australia.Ā
  • Topics: Open ended and driven by curiosity.
  • Areas of Interest: People, life, relationships, psychology, science, space, technology, philosophy, creativity, unusual careers, ideas and experiences. But definitely not limited to these.
  • Length: 60mins but happy to go longer if the conversations take us there.Ā

Background: I’m starting a long form conversations project called ā€˜Constellation’ and looking for interesting people to have conversations with.Ā

There isn’t a particular niche or type of guest I’m looking for. I’m interested in people with unusual stories, experiences, perspectives, field of work, obsession, craft or simply anything you find deeply interesting or think deeply about.Ā

The idea of these conversations is to start somewhere we’re both curious about and see where the conversations go. I’m comfortable exploring difficult, personal, controversial or unconventional subjects if they arise naturally. I don’t want the conversation artificially constrained.

A little about me / why I’m doing this:

I’m Tan, based in Melbourne. I’ve always been curious about a lot of different things and I tend to ask people a lot of questions. Some of my favourite conversations have come from meeting someone, becoming curious about their life or what they know, and just following that curiosity.

I figured I’d start recording those conversations and see where they lead. That’s basically how Constellation started.

If you’re interested, reach out and tell me a little about yourself. I’m happy to see where the conversation takes us :D

Established Seeking Guests [IRTR] Seeking Entrepreneurs, Founders, Executives & Experts for Conversations on Decision-Making, Leadership & Growth

Upvotes
  • Anabasis Academy Expert Circle
  • SFW
  • 35 episodes
  • https://www.anabasisacademy.org/expert-circle
  • [Entrepreneurship / Business / Leadership] Entrepreneurship, decision-making, leadership, uncertainty, risk, AI, personal growth, judgment, innovation, and turning ideas into real-world impact
  • Approx. 45–60 minutes

We’re looking for practicing entrepreneurs, founders, investors, executives, experts, creators, and thought leaders to join our Expert Circle conversation with Anabasis Academy founder Sid Mohasseb.

Sid sits down with an experienced guest to explore one focused idea. These are less about walking through someone’s resume or giving a standard founder story and more about getting into how someone actually thinks.

Past conversations have explored questions around entrepreneurship, risk, decision-making, AI, uncertainty, judgment, leadership, curiosity, and how our thinking changes through experience.

Our guests have included entrepreneurs, investors, global executives, experts from different fields, and Grammy-winning creatives. What matters most to us isn’t how famous someone is. It’s whether they have real-world experience, a thoughtful perspective, and something worth exploring in a genuine conversation.

If this sounds like you, comment below or send me a DM with:

• A little about who you are and what you do
• One or two topics you’d be excited to explore
• Your LinkedIn, website, podcast, or another relevant link

We’re especially interested in people who are willing to go beyond polished answers and have an open conversation about what they’ve learned, changed their mind about, struggled with, or are still figuring out.

Thank you, everyone. Have a great day ahead. :)

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Ex-AI Engineer (Microsoft/Google) & Sci-Fi Author (KILLSWITCH) / Traditional vs Indie Publishing / Pro Audio / Open to Swaps

Upvotes

Your Name: Daniel C. Rodgers

Website Link: www.escapetheclock.com/book/killswitch

Areas of Interest & Expertise:

* The AI Race & Speculative Fiction:

As a former software engineer and TPM at Microsoft and Google, I bring real world technical expertise to discussions about artificial superintelligence. I love exploring what happens when humanity hands over its judgment instead of just its time.

* Traditional vs. Self-Publishing:

I recently transitioned from a traditionally published, award-winning non-fiction book (Escape The Clock) to launching my debut sci-fi thriller (KILLSWITCH) under my own imprint. I can discuss the business, the mechanics, and the frustrating realities of self-publishing.

* The Big Tech Pivot:

I applied program management to my own life to "retire" at 42. I left a 20-year career to reclaim my time for writing, working with non-profits, playing semi-pro billiards, and hosting my own podcast.

Prior Experience Podcasting?

Yes. I host and produce Escape The Clock (Podcast of the Year in Finance & Investing, American Writing Awards). I record from a treated environment using a Shure SM7B, CloudLifter CL-1, and GoXLR Mini.

I am also fully open to a guest swap if your expertise fits my audience!

Pitch:

I bring a conversational, no fluff energy to interviews. I can offer your listeners a grounded take on the AI race from an industry insider, a deep dive into the brutal realities of modern publishing, or an engaging conversation on bridging complex engineering concepts into a high-stakes sci-fi thriller. I put two years into writing KILLSWITCH to place readers at the exact technological crossroads we are living through right now, and I am ready to dive into any aspect of that journey that fits your show's format.

Established Seeking Guests [IRTR] Looking for IT people with real horror stories — sysadmins, developers, infrastructure, mainframe, OT, networking, etc.

Upvotes

SFW ? Yes.

Episode count : 20 regular episodes published, plus Jack's Rants. Running since April 2025

Homepage : https://ithorrorstories.eu

Genre : Technology / IT. Real-world IT incidents, infrastructure failures, sysadmin stories, mainframes, networking, security, datacenters, DevOps, Shadow IT, incident response, and the lessons learned afterward.

Episode length : Approx. 30–60 minutes for regular episodes; Jack's Rants are shorter.

We make IT Horror Stories, a podcast about real things that happened in IT and the people who were there when they happened.

We're looking for more guests.

Not necessarily CEOs, founders, authors, influencers or "thought leaders." No crypto pitch required. No AI-generated portrait of you staring thoughtfully into the middle distance.

We're looking for people who actually worked with the technology.

Sysadmins, developers, helpdesk, infrastructure engineers, network people, project managers, security people, datacenter people, mainframers, OT people... basically anyone who has been around IT long enough to hear:

"This should have been a routine change..."

...and immediately know where the story is going.

Maybe you survived a major outage. Maybe you inherited a system nobody understood. Maybe the technology worked perfectly but the organization didn't. Maybe a tiny mistake caused a surprisingly large problem. Maybe your "temporary" workaround is still running fifteen years later.

The incident doesn't need to have cost millions or made the news. Small disasters often make better stories.

We generally look for stories that are at least two years old. Companies, customers and individuals can be anonymized. This isn't about naming and shaming people. We're interested in what happened, how you dealt with it, and what others can learn from it.

You don't need previous podcast experience, a book to sell or a personal brand.

Just a good IT story.

If you have one, reply here or send me a message. Happy to answer questions before you commit to anything.

And yes, you're allowed to have a LinkedIn profile without describing yourself as a thought leader.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Seeking Guests with Firsthand Experiences or Expertise in UFOs, Paranormal, NDEs, Consciousness & High Strangeness

Upvotes
  • The Curiosity Project with Bobby Fera
  • SFW
  • Startup podcast — first season currently in production, launching October 1
  • Pilot available privately to serious prospective guests before booking
  • [Society & Culture / Paranormal] UFOs/UAP, paranormal experiences, consciousness, near-death experiences, spirituality, cryptids, strange history, ancient mysteries, remote viewing, and other high-strangeness topics
  • Approx. 60–90 minutes

We’re currently booking guests for The Curiosity Project with Bobby Fera, a long-form interview show produced by the Alliance of Guilds. We’re especially interested in people with compelling firsthand experiences, researchers or investigators with unusual stories to tell, authors, historians, scientists, experiencers, thoughtful skeptics, and others who can bring an interesting perspective to subjects people genuinely wonder about.

The tone is relaxed, curious, and respectful. Bobby isn’t there to prove or disprove you; the goal is to understand what happened, what you’ve learned, what you believe now, and what questions are still unanswered. We particularly enjoy personal stories and moments that changed the way someone sees the world.

We’ve already recorded several episodes and have a completed pilot. Since the show does not officially launch until October 1, I’m happy to privately share the unreleased pilot with serious prospective guests so you can see exactly what the interview style and production are like before committing.

If you think you’d be a good fit, comment here or DM me with a little about yourself, what you’d like to discuss, and any relevant links.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Adult Children of Parents with BPD for New Podcast

Upvotes
  • Life Beyond a Borderline Parent
  • SFW, though conversations may include difficult childhood experiences and other mature topics
  • 0 episodes published, currently recording the first episodes
  • Website/podcast feed: Coming soon
  • [Mental Health / Personal Stories] Growing up with a parent with BPD, breaking unhealthy patterns, relationships with parents today, healing, resilience, and building a good life
  • Approx. 30–45 minutes

I’m looking for adult children of parents with BPD who are comfortable sharing their experiences. You may be no contact, limited contact, or still actively involved with your parent.

The show isn’t about spending an hour dwelling on what our parents did. We’ll talk about the past, but the larger focus is who you are now, what helped you break unhealthy patterns, and the life you’re building for yourself.

We were raised by a parent with BPD. That’s part of our story. It isn’t the rest of our story.

These early conversations will be published, either as regular episodes or bonus episodes (if the format changes before launching). Guests may use a first name only or a pseudonym if preferred.

If you’re interested, send me a DM and tell me a little about yourself.

Established Seeking Guests [IRTR] Seeking Guests with Stories of Recovery, Transformation, or Spiritual Experience

Upvotes

  • [Spirituality, Personal Growth and Symbolic Psychology] — Recovery, personal transformation, meaningful life experiences, spirituality, synchronicity, Tarot, Jungian psychology, mythology and unusual historical or spiritual subjects
  • Approximate Episode Length: Regular episodes are usually 10–20 minutes; interviews may run 20–45 minutes

Hello, my name is John, and I host JohnsTarot, a podcast exploring transformation, recovery, spirituality and the experiences that give our lives meaning.

I am an ICU nurse with more than 25 years of experience and have been sober for over 37 years. My interviews are relaxed conversations rather than formal interrogations.

I am particularly interested in speaking with people who have:

  • Come through a significant personal transformation
  • Recovered from addiction or another life-altering struggle
  • Had an unusual spiritual, archetypal or synchronistic experience
  • Developed an interesting relationship with Tarot, mythology, Jungian psychology or another symbolic tradition
  • Lived through something that changed how they understand themselves or the world
  • Researched an unusual historical, psychological or spiritual subject

You do not need to be famous, promote a book or present yourself as an expert. A thoughtful person with an honest and meaningful story can be a compelling guest.

JohnsTarot is not primarily about predicting the future. I use history, personal experience, Tarot, runes and other reflective traditions to explore the human journey and help people see their lives more clearly.

Interviews are conducted remotely in a respectful, conversational atmosphere. If you are interested, please send me a private message with a brief introduction and what you would enjoy discussing.

Thank you,

John

I am in the middle of recording an episode on the Lindsay Clancy trial and was wondering if anyone out there supports the theory that her husband is actually the one who committed the crime or had something to do with it. If this is something you'd like to chat about let me know. It would be over discord and you need a mic and a decent internet connection. This is a debate style thing and I will ask a few question but not a gotcha type situation or arguing over who did it. Just want to see another person's perspective on the case.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Looking for creators/founders who use or used AI and willing to share the bad experiences even if the end was good

Upvotes

So AI has a lot of hype and there's a bunch of tools. However for anyone who has used it for serious purposes whether in a traditional business setting or for their music/art, you probably had to go through a lot of trial and error and either found something that worked or decided it wasn't ideal for your use case. Not interested in AI usage as an employee.

Looking for people to share the struggles of getting quality results from AI.

Not interested in any AI service/tool founders either at the moment.

We haven't published anything yet but will be running paid ads to promote this podcast once we are ready to publish so your interview will get some traction despite having no audience yet.

Reply here with a bit of info about the project where you used AI. For example, a musician who used Veo to make segments of their music video etc.

Thanks,

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Quantum Career Coach / Seeking Podcasts to Discuss Manifesting from a Neurological Perspective

Upvotes

Quantum Career Coach
quantumcareercoach.com

Areas of Interest & Expertise: The neuroscience of manifesting, how identity drives the decisions we make without realizing it, how reframing actually works in the brain, how to change your identity in a way that sticks, and how to manifest in a way that gets results

Prior Experience Podcasting? Limited. I’ve been on one podcast so far.

Pitch: I break down manifesting through a neurological lens, showing how our sense of identity quietly runs our decisions and how to rewire it for lasting change.

Listeners walk away knowing how to change their own mind and influence others in a way that sticks, how to see why they’re stuck, and how to actually change it.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Looking for independent podcasters interested in a small cross-discovery collaboration

Upvotes

I know this is a little different from the usual guest exchange post, but the collaboration side of this community seemed like a natural fit.
I’m currently looking for a few independent podcasters who might be interested in a slightly different kind of collaboration.
I develop a small independent podcast player called RelayPlay, and recently I started an experiment inside it called Indie Spotlight.
Instead of using popularity rankings, listening history or AI recommendations, I personally listen to podcasts and choose a small, deliberately varied selection to feature together.
The first group ended up being pretty eclectic: comedy and personal conversations, running, books, deeply personal stories about cancer, memories and more.
That mismatch is intentional.
The basic idea is simple:
Someone arrives because of one podcast and may end up discovering another show they would never have searched for themselves.
What has become especially interesting to me, though, is the collaboration that has started happening around it.
I’ve begun talking regularly with some of the podcasters involved. We exchange ideas and feedback, they occasionally send me things they think could be useful for the project, and I get to follow their own shows as they grow and experiment.
So I’m not really looking for ā€œcontent to fill a list.ā€
I’m looking for independent podcasters who enjoy that kind of exchange and are interested in a small cross-discovery experiment.
There is absolutely no requirement to promote RelayPlay in return.
I already get value from having interesting podcasts in Indie Spotlight. They make the feature more varied, more useful and more interesting for listeners. That is already a meaningful contribution to my project.
If someone tries RelayPlay, genuinely likes it and eventually decides to mention it to their listeners, naturally I’m thrilled. For a small independent project, an honest recommendation can mean a lot.
But that is exactly why I want it to be honest.
A voluntary mention from someone who genuinely enjoys the app means far more to me than a promotional message someone feels obligated to read because their podcast is being featured.
Promotion is welcome, but it is never a condition of the collaboration.
I also don’t care much about download numbers, audience size or perfectly polished production. Genre and language aren’t necessarily deciding factors either.
What interests me much more is:
What makes your podcast special to you?
And if you could give someone who has never heard your show one episode to start with, which one would it be?
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, tell me a little about your podcast below or send me a DM.
I’m especially interested in shows I probably would never have discovered on my own.
Maybe this remains a tiny experiment.
Maybe it slowly becomes a small network of independent podcasts helping listeners wander outside their usual bubbles.
I’m curious to find out.
