Not here to explain, but that cone thing was absolutely a Scottish person

Well yeah that’s what the post said

It doesn’t say it. It implies it, if you have enough background knowledge. Which would fine, if this wasnt an explain-the-joke sub.

It says ‘look what the English and the Scottish each did’ and then the first photo is very very clearly the English example. If you need more context to work out that the second photo is the Scottish one, I don’t know what to tell you.

Rule 5.

I’m not whooshing you for a joke, because the English vs Scottish thing isn’t the joke. It’s just the very basic context included in the post. The joke needing explaining is the ‘more kings’ bit, which others have done.

The whole thing is the joke, not just “more kings.” And I understood the joke and the context. You broke rule 5 by being rude about it. Repeatedly.

It literally says "look how each chose to decorate the city" and then shows two photos

I am not sure how they could have been clearer.

No it said English. Scottish ≠ English

u/Novrev 6h ago

It’s comparing what the English fans did (the first photo) with what the Scottish fans did (the second photo), as the tweet clearly states.

I hope English isn’t your first language
