I assume its about the discourse of Ariana Grande’s dramatic weight loss and its negative effect on children, pointing out that she is far from the only one.

But Zendaya and Chalamet don’t really fit.

Zendaya is very very thin, if we’re talking about reinforcing the beauty standard of hyper thin, then she absolutely fits.

But I don’t think any of them fit with Ariana grande. Being thin is one thing and not automatically bad, but Grande has a clear eating disorder and her team is gaslighting and guilt tripping the public about it.

To me Zendaya always seemed… natural I guess? Like she never outgrew the scrawny kid phase.

Some others in hollywood though make me wonder if they are OK.

Yeah, you can tell by her cheeks thats just how she's built. Im built the same way... 5'10" and high metabolism. Its annoying. Im willing to bet she has zero concerns for the amount of calories she takes in. Her body type is not her fault and she shouldn't be held responsible for it.

When you are actively losing weight by avoiding food, you lose the fat in your cheeks too. That’s why she looks natural. The fat pad in her cheeks are still there, so you can tell she isn’t starving herself. Crazy thing is a lot of people are removing the fat pad these days. Makes them look much older and sicker.

Zendaya isn’t concerningly thin though. She doesn’t look unhealthy, her face isn’t gaunt or sunken, her chest isn’t super bony. She looks fine.

Just existing as a naturally thin & tall person isn’t reinforcing a beauty standard.

I agree, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with how she looks or is. I’m just saying that she’s fashion model thin. I don’t think it’s 100% natural in that of she weren’t famous, she probably wouldn’t feel pressure to be quite as thin.

But again, nothing wrong with her

But she has a heavy scowl.

In what world is she "very very"?

u/orangekirby 15h ago

You don’t think she’s very thin? What’s your standard for normal?

She’s very thin, but also I don’t see a problem with it.

She's just thin/skinny not "very very" thin.

Tamato tomato

Let’s compromise, she’s very thin
