They forced frostbite on a lof of prisoners, and then they tested different temperatures of water on the treatment (and other forms of treatment too).

The ones with less problems was the best treatment.

Ok, so what's the best treatment then?

People keep saying horrible this and horrible that. Yeah i fuckin get it. Just tell me what the findings were and the specific optimal treatment in scientific detail ffs!

The actual truth of the matter is that all of the Data was scientifically crude, methodologically flawed, and largely useless because it lacked any controls. The absolute most we got was about 3 papers on biological weapons, most of which was both not useful and already being developed by Soviets and US, and a pretty poor index on frostbite resistance which was completely useless because of how maybe factor where not accounted for and did not provide any novel data that was not already now or could not have gathered safely.

A lot of people are claiming that the data helped establish rapid reheating for frostbite rather than the Napoleonic era slow reheating, this is horseshit. This was already know to the inuits and other artic circle indigenous peoples and was established by the Soviets in the 1930s before unit was even established.

That is the final horror of Unit 731, after all the hell that they put people through, after all the crimes against humanity the human brains wants to find a silver lining in it, there must have been some kind of good in it, and there is nothing.

Got it. We'll thats useful info to know, thank you. We have 1000 comments talking about the atrocities and just a few actually addressing the meme topic.

And of the few actually addressing the topic a depressing number of them are spreading misinformation.

Nah, turns out if you get frostbite, just do some cocaine about it! Totally legit
