Free meal during work shift

So today for my first time got my meal after work and didn’t know my son decided to wait for me until I got out at 4pm (he’s 9). I felt really bad because he loves panda and lowkey can’t always afford it so I had to tell him I’m gonna eat alone because I’m sure it’s against the rules? Which brings me to my question. It’s against the rules to share, right?

employee meals must be eaten in the lobby and cannot be shared. Some managers might be less strict but if an ACO or corporate comes to conduct a AP audit it will be flagged

At least in the region that I work in the free employee meal is expected to be consumed on site not taken off site. We must serve our food onto a specific plate that is different from the normal Panda Express containers so that it's possible via the camera to identify which meals are free. You might find your store manager that is willing to look the other way but I would not bank on it and it certainly isn't worth risking feedback or losing your job over. You can always just go through a line and use your employee discount to get Panda Express for them.

Yes definitely not worth losing my job over. We do it the same at our store as well.

It is a fireable offense if a meal is shared with anyone. Understandable from a business prospective, But Hey panda is all about “family” am I right!? 😄

Lol you could have took it to go for him. I'm sure you could have took extra as well for you and him. Easy fix.

Nope, employee meals are only served on specific plates to prevent that.

Aw my bad. Well op could have done the survey from her receipt. You get a free bowl with 5$ purchase now. Just buy like 2 egg rolls and get a free bowl, all for her son. You could also do the brisket on the bowl and they won't charge extra.

Employee meals don't get survey codes same for food bought with employee discount. If you don't know how the employee meals work somewhere maybe don't respond because your misinformation could cost someone their job.

My bad I'm just thinking about that kid who didn't get no orange chicken.
