I make French toast or oatmeal with protein powder, and both turn out pretty good. You have to learn how to use it, and adjust recipes, and sometimes use different powders. I use chocolate powder for oatmeal, and plain whey for French toast. Both meals have like 35g of protein, and 400 and 600 calories, respectively, when I add all my other fixins. Lost 45 pounds, and gained good amount of muscle with this. (Also, eating at a deficit and working out, of course).

How do you add protein powder to French toast?

I use the brand Raw Organic Whey (and I might be stopping since it's gone up like 30 bucks for the 5lb package in the last two years...and they can't even be assed to put it in a standard jar like most...just one of those bags with the questionable off-brand Ziploc that you can't trust), and it's 25g of the powder, 100g of milk, 1 egg, and 8g of sucralose. It's a little thicker and doesn't penetrate the bread, but I noticed a lower heat and a slow cook, like around 2 minutes on a side, it's quite pleasant.

I top with sugar free syrup, walnuts, and whatever fruit I have on hand. And on the topic of sugar free syrup, I have a friend who's proud of how "nothing gets by me in tasting, and I caught Pizza Hut's recipe change before they announced it." He had no clue which syrup I put on, but somehow he still repeats how he hates the taste of it.

I know a common way to make high protein French toast is using a shit ton of egg whites, but the protein powder is (and probably still is) cheaper.
