Discussion | گفتگو War General Discussion Megathread (Day 193)

Upvotes

Hello to all Iranians and friends,

Due to the high volume of rapid updates and back-to-back threads, we ask that posts that do not contain a new or significant development be directed to this megathread. This includes general discussion, speculation, reactions, opinions, broader commentary, questions, jokes, memes, and general messages of support.

Standalone posts should primarily be reserved for current events and newly released information, such as breaking news, new videos or footage, official statements, confirmed updates, or other meaningful developments. Legitimate news and newly released footage are still allowed and encouraged as standalone submissions.

Minor updates, repeated information, personal commentary, or posts that do not report a new development may be redirected to the megathread or removed. Depending on activity levels, broader consolidation into the megathread may become mandatory.

This approach helps reduce clutter, limit misinformation, and keep the subreddit organized during a fast-moving situation.

Please remain civil, avoid spreading unverified claims, and continue to follow all subreddit rules.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Revolution ❤️‍🔥 خیزش 🔴 Javidnameh – Operation History call for volunteers

Thumbnail javidnameh.org
Upvotes

We are launching Operation History for Javidnameh.

Javidnameh is a website and a database dedicated to documenting the massacre of January 2026. It currently stores the names of over 1,400 martyrs. This number might seem high, but we are still far behind the actual figures.

We have worked tirelessly for several months to gather as much martyr information as possible, but unfortunately, our reach alone is not sufficient. That is why we launched Operation History.

What is it?

Operation History is a volunteer project starting today. We are asking dozens, if not hundreds, of people to join and help us collect information about the martyrs from all social media platforms.

To make it as easy as possible to help, there are no sign-up forms and no links to copy-paste.

How to participate:

For the next 2 weeks, simply go about your normal day on your social media apps. Adapt your algorithm to martyr-related content or search directly for martyrs of January 2026.

Whenever you find a martyr-related post, photo, or video, just press the share icon and forward it directly to our official Direct Messages (DMs).

Our team and system will handle the rest.

This operation will run for the next two weeks. After the operation closes, we will begin processing all the posts you have submitted. Each entry goes through multiple verification steps before being officially added to Javidnameh's database. (You can still send us posts after these two weeks, but we won't be processing them as quickly).

This mission is fully private, and its only purpose is to help a nation ensure their beloved martyrs are never forgotten by those who wish to erase them.

Every single post you forward to us is a step toward preserving the truth. Thank you.

What’s with this suicidal empathy some liberal white women have with Islam?? Do they not research that Islam is a very strict religion that is more conservative than Christianity??

Sometimes I hope Muslims become majority in countries like France and UK so that Sharia law is implemented throughout the country and then maybe these fools will realize what people like Iranians had to go through… now chances are it won’t be as nearly brutal as what the IR regime did in Iran… but I would love to see how they react when they can’t have pride parades and drink beer in public ☠️!

As someone who is interested in Persian culture, it feels wrong having a bordering Persian speaking country ruined by islamic radicalism. Many secular Afghans that I've met in America seemed to have solidarity with Iranians.

@Yashar on instagram:

Recently, there have been calls from an unknown source (Syrian country code) with the Iranians in the south, urging them not to support the IRGC:

"The reactionary IRGC has disconnect you from the world, they keep you far away from the intel of the world, they have taken your economy away from you, they do not allow you to have freedom and make decisions for yourselves and your families, do not support the IRGC and think about the survival/prevail of your own families ×2"

News | خبر Iran seeks to contain unrest as US pressure deepens economic woes

Thumbnail
tbsnews.net
Upvotes

Iran's currency has fallen to an all-time low, trading at more than 2.25 million rials per US dollar.

The country is also facing severe energy shortages, with fuel smuggling, damaged or neglected oil and gas infrastructure and the high fuel consumption of domestic vehicles contributing to the problem.

The government is under pressure to address fuel shortages while limiting the impact of higher petrol prices on households and the wider economy.

Pezeshkian has acknowledged the difficulty of imposing further economic pressure on the population.

"People are now on the edge; if I impose another pressure, they may fall off," he said during a televised appearance about domestic petrol prices and inflation.

His administration plans to halve monthly petrol quotas and double the price of one of the three petrol quota tiers. Pezeshkian has avoided broader price increases because they could raise logistics costs and add to inflation, which is already affecting households across the country.

Iranian authorities are increasingly concerned that economic hardship could trigger protests similar to the large antigovernment fuel demonstrations of 2019 and 2020.

IRGC intelligence has said the United States, Israel and their Western allies are shifting towards encouraging "pressure from within" to foment protests.

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has described domestic unrest as a distinct security challenge alongside the country's other areas of confrontation.

"The fourth battlefield is the street – the social field," Ghalibaf said, referring to the threat of unrest alongside military, diplomatic and economic battlefields.

Police Chief Ahmad-Reza Radan has ordered continuous monitoring of potential "pretexts" for protests, including petrol prices, unemployment and livelihoods.

Discussion | گفتگو Understanding what happens under the veils of geopolitics

Upvotes

Doroud azizan,

I am trying to figure out, what is happening.

From my understanding, in Iran there is three major influences. Russia (as we are in their sphere of influence, as how they trained etelaat, and as how they will do anything they can to not let Iran fall into American’s hand), CIA and Mossad (obvious reasons), and regime’s ideological forces. China is also an actor, but much less than Russia as we are much closer to Russia. China does gives Iran equipment and intelligence though.

I think, IRGC is split in three factions:
Russia’s
Mossad and CIA’s
Ideological

The actual fight under the hood is between these three, but no one holds absolute power hence, making a coup not likely.

A revolution is almost impossible, as in all modern revolutions, army sides with people (much like 79 and nepal), but with islamic revolutionary guards, that is not possible. Unless army wants to go to civil war with irgc (Russia and ideological faction), which is not much probable.

Israel’s goal appears to be making Iran a failed state. From one hand they fund Kurds, and from another hand, they influence with their psy ops that kurds are seperatists, e.g., wanting a federal state or the right to education in their mother language is seperatism (which is not but i have seen this fallacy numerous times). We are in a climate that unity between Kurds and monarchists seems impossible. I do not think these happened naturally. There is vast amount of money spent on psy ops in Farsi.

RP’s advisors are ex regimi politicians that are now getting money from NUFDi and and FDD which is funded by Israelis, which makes them most likely double agents with leaning more towards Israel. These advisors have pushed iranians toward polarisation, and destroyed the unity we had in the Mahsa charter in georgetown. It was not random that ex regimi and then pahlavi advisor started a disinformation campaign against esmailion, right after the charter was signed, and which was followed by a coordinated social media campaign. Regime wanted to give people hope, and then crush it.

What is your analysis?
