could be a gift from Ten Ten, along with the knowledge of how to store it in a scroll.

u/Mr_RaincloudGuy9 20h ago

that would mean TenTen gets some of that sweet screentime, we can't have that

I wish scrolls and tools were more present in the Shippuden fights

TenTen justice!

Honestly wish she actually used it in the main canon. Huge axe + monster strength would have been an insane combo

u/JMHSrowing 20h ago

She would have been able to fight tailed beasts by herself with it!

Saying she has monster strength is a misunderstanding of how she and lady tsunade use Chakra to fight imo.

Even without Chakra, Tsunade was famed for her immense natural strength.

but carrying that axe would make no sense. Even with the ability to wield it. Maybe if she could put it in a scroll but irc the scroll would have to be sized for the large weapon

The axe suits Sakura so well, I wish we got more than just promo art with her using them

Dual wielding in the 4th image is peak

u/DaCipherTwelve 21h ago

Actually suits her

Amazing concept arts, too bad we never got to see Sakura do more than strong punch and heal. Her mastering mega axe would be kind of cool in relation to sasuke just having a tiny sword.

It would be cool if the Live Action gave her an Ax.

u/ldsman213 20h ago

i kept expecting her to get one

Love the juxtaposition of her being so cutesy with an enormous battle axe in the last pic. I wish she had a writer who deserved her

u/maurikun7 18h ago

Not to mention her earth release that was never utilized. Could go well together

We were robbed

u/xoricky56 22h ago

reminds me of Nami concept art

That gold axe in particular.

u/GodSheem 20h ago

Honestly yes, now that I think about it the axes were a foreshadowing of her strength she gains as she grows thru the series

u/WhyWontAizenBeMyWife 18h ago

That samurai fit should've got used in an episode

u/kithas 15h ago

Instead of her fist, Sakura concentrates all her chakra in the blade of her axe (and her arms to swing it): Terrifying.

u/dew-fall 11h ago

the fact that this is basically false advertisement bc we never saw her be anywhere near a giant axe in the animanga, let alone wield one... we were truly robbed 😭😭

i was expecting it for years & it never happened... it would have been so good!!

It clearly shows the kind of development Kishimoto had prepared for her since before rhe Chuunin Selection Exams but which were killed by the editors wanting him to accelerate things through the CE Arc instead of engaging in characters development and world building.

This would be so great with her strength. If only it had happened. Reminds me of Prototype Nami.

u/djjolly037 21h ago

Might as well give her the executioner’s blade lol

Where is that top left art on page 1 from?

u/Terrariant 19h ago

Do you prefer the one big axe or two medium axes? Also I have one more for you: https://ibb.co/Pz66Rkxp

We know that kunai often misses in this anime. I believe it will be even harder for a person using Axe to land hit.

I hate that not even the games included this as a little bonus. Imagine if any of the Storm games had a Sakura variant with the giant axe and her moveset is her just going batshit with axe combos like she's straight out of Devil May Cry or God of War or something like that.

Honestly the early Concept art for Sasuke in the tree with the snake going around him made me realize he was going to be a bad guy eventually.

Kishi is so inconsistent with drawing her body, he gave her such a chest in the second picture and he does that throughout the manga a lot but because there are also scenes where he draws her very skinny it gave the Studio fuel to really downgrade her body in the anime.

u/MadBase 19h ago

The second picture wasn't drawn by Kishimoto.

u/xJannatheia 19h ago

That doesn't matter, everything I said stands.

It does matter, stop comparing gooner fanart to the series.

u/AquaDitto 10h ago

"make it happen" like kishimoto wasn't already done with sakura lol

u/just-some-arsonist 16h ago

Lmao, imagine if sakura was interesting

u/Kind_Cheek_2645 18h ago

Does it matter ? She would still be written the same
