Dining Question Assistance
Good morning, Happy Week of Welcome everyone.
I’m a member of the retail dining team and can attempt to answer any questions new or returning students have about campus dining.

Is the food kosher?

It really depends on the item. It would be in your best interest to reach out to NIU Allergy Team for more information and guidance.

Do you have whole milk?

Retail Dining does not. Residential Dining might, I assume it would depend on location.

Our goal every year is to make the food better than it was the year before. We’re constantly reviewing menus, listening to customer feedback, and making adjustments where we can. Will everything be perfect? Probably not, and that’s okay. But we’re always looking for ways to improve, and we’re excited for everyone to see what’s new this year and can’t wait to hear what everyone likes, dislikes, and wants to see.

They didn’t respond but yes you can. At stevenson dining everything is pretty much to go so that’s one option. At Patterson and Neptune dining you can get a to go container that you fill up and leave with. When you bring it back they will give you a red tag, if not make sure you ask for one. Any time you want to get a to go box at those dining halls you will need to exchange the red tag for it so don’t lose it. Sometimes you could get one without it, but it really depends on the employee. If you lose the to go container you won’t be able yo get another one until you pay the replacement fee (I forgot the price of it I wanna say its 10-20 dollars? Not sure).
