I'm building a small bedroom setup for my first serious release and to learn production long-term.

I'm a beginner artist and a producer making R&B with electronic production. I already have a laptop, MIDI controller and REAPER.

The room is untreated and shared, so I'll mostly record vocals when my roommate is out.

I'm on a tight budget and want to prioritize the right mic, interface, headphones/monitors, essential plugins, synths and sample packs rather than buying random gear. I'm also open to buying second-hand, but I'm in southwest India and I'm not sure where to reliably find used music gear nearby.

I've previously used an Audio Array mic, and I'd prefer recommendations for other options rather than Audio Array.

My Goal is to finish and release my first serious track by late 2026 or early 2027 with the best possible quality!

What would you personally prioritize first for this kind of setup?

I’m looking for someone who can produce emo rap inspired beats that I can do vocals over, I have everything to produce the beats but I struggle with a more experienced finish and honestly I’d rather enjoy the projects with someone/group then doing it on my own start to finish

I’m currently putting together a remix compilation based on my track “Dreamed Dream,” and I’m looking for remixers to take part.

The compilation will be released on Bandcamp, and all proceeds after fees will be donated to UNRWA’s Gaza Emergency Appeal. So unfortunately, I’m asking everyone to contribute their remix on an unpaid basis (sorry! 💦).

There is no fee to participate, and I won’t be making any profit from this project either.

Hey! I’m an artist working on a passion project with some friends, and I’m looking to meet more producers who’d be down to collaborate and experiment together. I’m into electronic pop, hip-hop, club music and more experimental stuff, and I’m especially interested in finding ways to blend those sounds with Arabic influences.

I have a strong direction for the project, and I’d love to work with someone
who enjoys playing around with sound, sampling, making interesting arrangements, and taking references or ideas and turning them into something that aligns with the vision. I’m not looking to just buy type beats, I’d rather actually go back and forth and build songs together.

I attached short snippets of two demos I’m working on for the album, Superstar and Angel of Music, just to give an idea of my vocals (demo) and taste. I’ll also link an Arabic/Western style song I really like as an example of the kind of experimentation I’m interested in. I’m not looking to recreate it, but I love how those different influences can exist together.

The album will mostly be sung in English, with some being a mix of both English and Arabic. Production-wise, I want the Arabic influence to run throughout the project, even when it’s subtle. I’m especially interested in working with someone who’s comfortable experimenting with sounds, styles and arrangements they might not typically use. Im a music producer looking for some cool people to collab with!!!

Unfortunately most of the studios I’ve found through searching and even through recommendations from industry friends aren’t cutting it. I need an engineer who has a vast knowledge of pop plugins especially getting vocals sounding like current top 40 tracks.

I don’t need a writer though someone great with synths is a plus. Looking to cut a 4-song EP to start with. Songs are written and the bulk of the instruments can be sent via STEMS or recorded locally.

If you’re a bedroom engineer don’t be shy. Everyone can have access to the same tools as major studios…I need someone who can use them.
