Fresh Content Aari McDonald is already putting in the work
Per the Lynx socials everyone is back in the gym (obviously not FIBA players) and Aari is already there too.

How much do we think Phee is %wise especially on defense? I feel like some of the quickness is definitely still not back which is expected. Not sure if it’s still getting strength in the ankles back or just need more conditioning.
I don’t think we’ll see more than 90% Phee for the playoffs after comparing this and previous years, but we’ll still get enough of her to be able to win the whole thing with Liv. Just need it to be a total team effort and none of this taking possessions off we saw the last couple games.

i haven't been able to watch much of the fiba women's world cup because, but i caught that czechia 🇨🇿 lost a tough one in OT to china 74-70. our demon eliška led the czechs in scoring (18pts) and added five rebounds, four assists and four steals
the loss sees team czechia with an 0-2 record after losing their first game against italy (ceci forever) and with their last game vs team USA, czechia's tourney probably ends in the group stage
but this photo (via cz.basketball) crumpled me a little
we love our 🇨🇿 demons

Hey everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone else purchased mystery boxes or the mystery jerseys as part of the Lynx/Wolves Fast Break Foundation fundraiser? I received my items yesterday and was THRILLED to get a full sized autographed Kayla McBride ball (my favorite Lynx player), an autographed 8x10 of Nia Coffey, and also a Phee signed Rebel jersey! I was lukewarm on the Nia picture, but the rest was awesome! It's always a crap shoot what you might get. One year, I ordered two mystery boxes and got two autographed Bridget Carleton basketballs. I've also gotten a full sized autographed Phee basketball and a mini Sylvia Fowles autographed ball a couple of years ago.

Looking for guidance. Last year I got a flex/5 games with friends. The website wasn’t working so I called and someone put my selection in for me. Fast forward to this year we decided to get season tickets but another person in our group did all the work of figuring it out. Long story short now we have different reps ( I didn’t realize I had a rep by calling last year) and they are telling us different things about playoff tix and how to go about it. One is telling us we can get a strip and we’ll be in our seats we select etc for next year and the other is saying we can buy as we go singles or try to buy seats close to each other but it’s not together? It’s getting more complicated than we’d like and feels easier to all be with the same person. I asked if this could happen but didn’t seem to be the case. Any advice?

Individual tickets for game 1 and 3 are available for purchase. Before you buy it says dates TBD, but after I bought them the email confirmation contained dates and times:
Game 1: 9/27 at 7 PM
Game 3: 9/30 at 7 PM

Victory+ carried 24 Lynx games this season after signing a multiyear deal in April. Its shutdown comes with two games left on their streaming schedule.

Anyone have stats on Olivia's performance when rocking the fro vs tied up? Team's performance when the fro is out?
Kinda feel like Fro > Hair tie but that could just bc she looks so swaggy with the fro on the court.
Idk maybe if I have time later I can run the numbers and report back

- we met a few goals we had today, we did take care of the ball and turned atlanta over. 34 deflections, only 8 OR for atlanta. for our offense, they physically dictated in ways we didn't respond to. a good predictor of playoff play, and it's going to be the norm. first back door cut came within 3 minutes left in the game
- after the LA game, we had the toughest sked remaining and also on the road. the sky isn't falling for me. it's not 'what's the big problem?' we have five players who average double figures. our bench needs to step up, and we're still working on that. not a systemic problem. we didn't respond well to physicality. if you fail to set up screens, this atl team will dominate you
- have to exploit the physicality too (theme here, obvs). can't just fade away. you have to have a power, force about you.
- phee's still getting back. while i don't "like" games like this, it's also part of the evolution of getting her back; facing double teams, ect. We're not even at the end of her 4-6 month recovery. being disappointed is good for us, and good that we're going through it now
- it's not a matter of lacking hunger, but execution in trying to match an atl team that lost at home and came out wanting to win. for the break, there's areas we want to expand on with the playbook. don't treat the break as a way to not do anything. when they get back, we have things to work on.

kmac--
- atlanta dictated us physically, beat us up a little bit. even when we were getting stops
- we want to dictate, especially on the defensive end. when you're playing a team 3, 4 times in the playoffs, we'll know their tendencies. we want to make everything hard, people know what we want to do on defense and we want to adjust. use the break to recalibrate to be the defensive team we want to be
phee --
-we talked about playing with a sense of urgency after the break. hopefully we secure a high seed, and we need to use these game to prepare ourselves for when the playoffs start
- i am still coming back, but i need to be better too. we can't complain because we know what's ahead in the rest of the regular season and playoffs. good game for us to feel that.

Hi Lynx fans! We are the organizers of the Trans People Belong signs from last weekend's Liberty/Fever game. If you didn't see it, we passed out thousands of glossy 8.5x11 signs to fans outside the arena and raised over $3,600 for the Brooklyn Community Pride Center. Our signs were constantly making it on the jumbotron despite the camera people's best efforts! You can read more about this and other gameday actions different fans organized here: https://xtramagazine.com/power/politics/wnba-liberty-fever-trans-joy-284052
We thought fans in other cities might be able to use our work as a starting point, so we created a how-to guide that includes print-ready design files, distribution tips, and safety tactics. You can find it here: https://linktree.com/30for30liberty Please feel free to use anything you find useful, no need for attribution!

Sorry if someone already did this. Anyway, both Wikipedia and freaking FIBA are terrible at updating line-ups for a tournament that starts this week starring the best players in the world. Like, Dorka is definitely playing for Hungary; you wouldn't know it from Wiki. Zandalasini is definitely playing for Italy, right? Wouldn't know from Wiki. Maybe I'm an idiot, but please post if you know where the final rosters are.
I'm also curious about the Lynx signing both Elena Buenavida and Chloe Bibby in the last couple weeks, both getting minutes, both going to FIBA for Spain and Australia, respectively. (Wiki still hasn't updated that Buenavida is on the Lynx.)
At any rate, here's the Lynx and some formers; bold - today's roster:
Phee (USA)
Sika Kone (former, Mali)
Buenavida (Spain)
Dorka (Hungary)
Chloe Bibby (current); Stephanie Talbot & Alanna Smith (former, Australia)
Antonia Delaere (Belgium)
Eliska Joklova (Czechia; sorry, still don't have the Czech alphabet on my keystroke)
Cecilia Zandalasini (former, Italy; love seeing her success with the Valks)
Did I miss anyone?
This looks like a great tournament. It's more fun when the rest of the world is catching up. People are raving about France, but the gauntlet doesn't end there.
Group A: should be competitive. Germany strong squad at home; Spain stacked; never count out Japan in an organized team sport; Mali could surprise.
Group B: France looks like WNBA All Star Team 2028; Hungary will be competitive - watching Dorka; Nigeria - lost to the Lynx by 9 in a preseason exhibition and some people freaked out. Nigeria is a good team; tune in for the Sparks guard Park Ji-hyun (So Korea);
(Remember the arguments - five months ago - about who the Lynx should draft? Good times!)
Group C: Australia an obvious threat, lots of Lynx connections; Belgium - I thought I read that Meesseman wasn't playing - either way, this is a solid team, let's tune in to watch Deleare play for country; Turkey - one of the best leagues in the world, numerous W players still go there in the offseason, US college kids getting experience, and Turkey's roster is completely dominated by Turkish players, a litmus test for homegrown that grew up around the best; Puerto Rico - can't find a relevant roster, who knows?
Group D: United States of America (kinda funny to see it typed out that way) is the *current* WNBA All-Star team; Czechia, Italy and China all have interesting, strongly nationalist teams featuring W players - let's tune in for Joklova (Czechia) and our former bestie Zandalasini (Italy).
A lot of people hated the timing, but FIBA is here now, it looks great, let's enjoy!
And no injuries, please.

I saw someone online say that the Lynx threw the game on purpose to give the Dream the 4 seed for the playoffs so they get home court vs the Fever if the bracket stays the same , I can see how it makes sense we played it terrible and it looked like the all star game also with tension between Cheryl Reeve and Sophie Cunningham (which is a civil disagreement not a huge argument) but I just don’t know how to feel about that take , what do you all think ?
