Good evening from NC,
Long story short..... I am going to receive LTD benefits from my previous employer's insurance company.
When I applied for Medicaid, actually the healthcare.gov bumped me to it actually. Anyway, I went to the e pass portal and submitted the change for myself.
I took a screenshot of the confirmation number page.
My question is do I stop using Medicaid? I still have doctor's appointments and prescriptions that need refilling.
My wife says go with it until I receive a letter in the mail of a notification of termination.
Then go to healthcare.gov and apply for some kind of silver plan. Our neighbor says if I get a silver plan that I can receive big subsidies to offset the monthly premium.
Is this sounding correct? Thank you for your time and input.

Who paid for the LTD insurance? If the employer paid it would be countable income, if you paid for it it would not be countable income.
