Bought my Jupiter 110 in January this year. Got the first “free” service done at the showroom in April, but still ended up paying around ₹800.

The showroom is quite far from my place, while I have a trusted local mechanic nearby.

For the second service, should I still take it to the showroom or is it fine to get it done by my local mechanic ?

Any advice/experience would be appreciated.

I’m looking for some advice on what would make more financial sense in my situation.

I bought a used Ford Figo around a year ago for ₹2.10 lakh. The car is now around 14 years old.

Currently, I have two expenses coming up:

- Suspension work: around ₹20,000

- Fitness/registration-related expenses: around ₹20–25,000

So I’m looking at roughly ₹40–45k of spending to get everything sorted.

The car itself is otherwise in decent condition, and I haven’t had any major issues apart from the usual age-related stuff. But since it is already 14 years old, I’m wondering whether it makes sense to put another ₹40–45k into it or whether I should sell it now and put that money towards another used/newer car.

My dilemma is:

Option 1: Spend ₹40–45k, complete the suspension + fitness work, and continue using the Figo for the next few years.

Option 2: Sell the Figo now, take whatever I can get for it, and buy a newer used car instead.

What would you guys do in my situation?

Also, for those who have owned older Fords, how difficult/expensive is it becoming to maintain them and source parts?

Would especially appreciate advice from people who have actually owned 10–15+ year old cars.

I have a 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150, and recently it developed an engine-related issue. I took it to the Bajaj service centre, and they’re quoting around ₹22–25k for the repair.

Considering the bike is almost 10 years old, I’m not sure if it makes sense to spend that much on it.

Are there any reliable local mechanics/workshops in Bengaluru who are experienced with Pulsar engine repairs and can do the job for a more reasonable price?

I’m currently around Bellandur, so preferably somewhere around Bellandur, Marathahalli, HSR, Sarjapur, Whitefield, or nearby would be ideal.

Also, for anyone who has dealt with a similar issue:

Is ₹22–25k a reasonable estimate for a Pulsar 150 engine repair?

Would you recommend getting a second opinion from an independent mechanic?

At what repair cost would you personally consider selling the bike instead?

Any recommendations for a trustworthy mechanic would be really helpful.

I own a Hyundai Venue SX Diesel 2020 Model (REd). Vehicle Covered 2 lacs kms in 6 years. Vehicle service done at Service Centre for every 10k Kms. Service Centre quoted of 1.35 lacs for repair cost. Repair include change of Clutch, Engine Timing Chain and Overall vehicle suspension. Is it worth to spend amount on repair. Service centre said we can easily run 1 lacs to 1.5 lacs after that repair easily without any major problems. I dont mind keeping the car for another 4 yrs if it works fine. Suggestions needed. Hi everyone, I need some advice before buying a used Mahindra Xylo E9.

Details:

2013 model

Xylo E9 (top variant)

Diesel, manual

Around 90,000 km

2nd owner

Asking price: ₹2.19 lakh

Private/white plate vehicle

I personally took a test drive and these were my observations:

Positives:

Engine pickup felt very strong

Ride quality was excellent

AC was working properly

No obvious accident or flood history

Concern:

The clutch pedal felt noticeably hard.

The vehicle will be used mainly as a family car and for occasional long trips. I am also considering moving it to Maharashtra in the future, so the RC will reach its 15-year renewal point in 2028.

Before buying, I plan to get a proper independent inspection done and diagnose the clutch issue.

My main questions:

Is ₹2.19 lakh a fair price for a 2013 Xylo E9 with around 90k km?

How serious can a hard clutch be on this model, and what repair costs should I expect?

Are Mahindra Xylo E9 parts still easily available, especially clutch and engine-related parts?

I bought a Royal Enfield Meteor 350 (2024 model) for around ₹2.9 lakh.

It’s been about 2 years, and I’ve ridden it only around 10,000 km. The bike is in good condition and has been properly maintained.

I’m currently getting an offer of around ₹1.4 lakh.

Considering I paid ₹2.9 lakh and would be selling it for ₹1.4 lakh after only 10,000 km, the depreciation feels quite high.

I’m confused whether I should:

• Accept ₹1.4 lakh and sell it now
• Try for a better price through a private sale
• Keep it for another 1–2 years

For people who own or have recently sold a Meteor 350, is ₹1.4 lakh a fair price for a 2024 model with only 10,000 km?

So from the post i made previously, almost everyone criticised saying am not taking enough care of my bike, just wanted to give a small update on what I have done as of now

2nd pic is when I showered chain with motul chain cleaner and wd40 (yesterday),

i let these two do their job for 1 day and didnt lube

3rd pic is the dirty air filter changed, wanted to know if this much dirty is supposed to accumulate in a bike ran only less than 7500kms( yesterday)

4th & 5th pic is taken today, I literally drenched the chain in gear oil until I saw some drip down, now I have let the bike rest so maybe the oil will seep into the chain
