Film/Television Am i the only one that doesn’t like this suit?

I know its supposed to be shaded like the comics but it just doesn’t work, i would’ve preferred if they did the season one suit with the double Ds.

Just imagine being in her situation , she was just a normal character in MCU , not THE main character and not a side character , then one night your coworker died and you had to become the main character , the movie story changed and the worst part is that the community didnt like you or the movie

Film/Television Jean Grey is a MONSTER in Brand New Day

Post image

She kills innocent bystanders, she kills guards she doesn't need to, she kills everyone. She manipulates Spider-man's feeling about MJ in a disgusting way and tries to kill MJ too. This is not a great start to JG as a character as she is not the Phoenix and crazy with power, she just doesn't care about anybody else but herself in her quest to find her sister.

Film/Television Just finished endgame. Am I the only one who found the “she’s got help” scene really dumb?

Upvotes

Like I get the message but also it’s so stupid, doesn’t fit the moment, and like why are all the women here now, and no where else? Idk. It felt like such a ham fisted scene. If I’m wrong then so be it but it just took me out of the movie.

Other Unpopular opinion : i prefer when X-Men is focused on grounded stories (like the first two from Bryan Singer and the third film. I precise clearly that i'm not talking about the director BUT about the movies.) but with the colorful side of the comics without the alien, magic and time-travel stuff.

Film/Television Why Didn't Heimdall Use the Bifrost to Get Rid of Thanos?

Post image
Upvotes

In Infinity War, Heimdall used the Bifrost to send Hulk to Earth and warn the Avengers. So here's a question if Heimdall was still able to open the Bifrost, why couldn't he open it beneath Thanos and Ebony Maw and send them into a nearby star, or simply strand them somewhere in deep space where they'd freeze or suffocate?

Film/Television Wolverine is the reason X-Men became the most popular. To both want the Xmen as the ‘A-Listers’ and to want Wolverine relegated to the background or not in the team is contradictory.

Other Would it physically possible to have Doctor Octopus' tentacles and Falcon's wings at the same time?

Upvotes

I like to imagine combining as much time of other superheroes and villains technology. So I wondered about the possibility of building a gadget consisting of Doc Oc's mechanical arms and Falcon's wings simultaneously if designed correctly. I would assume the tentacles would go under the wings first. Or maybe two tentacles behind the wings, and two more on the outside. I'm trying to see how much restriction there would be with the tentacles conflicting with the wings.

Comics Black Cat #17 : all roads lead to X-men

Post image
Upvotes

So apparently they're making black cat a mutant, changed her hair to boring brown, and puts her in the X-men..

Something tells me 2 things in this situation's pretty familiar with another character that got popular NOT because of X-men or being a mutant (*ekhem ekhem ms Marvel)..

Anyways, no. I'm just not going to read this. I couldn’t even bother reading the latest Spider-Man installment, I'll just not read it no matter if the writing's actually good or not.

Film/Television The Lamentis-1 Nexus Event completely breaks the apocalypse rules established in Pompeii

Hey everyone,

I’ve been rewatching Loki Season 1, and the logic behind the Nexus Event on Lamentis-1 makes zero sense based on the exact rules the show established two episodes prior.

The Pompeii Rule

In Episode 2, Loki explicitly proves to Mobius that you can do anything in an apocalypse—release goats, shout about the future, throw candy—and it will never create a timeline branch. Why? Because everyone dies anyway. If the future state of the universe remains completely unchanged, no ripples can form, and the TVA monitors register zero variance.

The Lamentis Contradiction

In Episode 4, Loki and Sylvie are sitting on Lamentis-1, waiting for a giant moon to crush them. They have no TemPad, no escape plan, and are seconds away from complete annihilation.

Then, they hold hands, form an emotional connection, and suddenly the TVA monitors spike wildly into a red-line Nexus Event.

Why This Logic Breaks Down

A lot of people defend this by saying, "It was a cosmic paradox! A Loki loving another Loki is a fundamental anomaly in the timeline!"

It doesn't matter how paradoxical or crazy their connection was. If they turn into space dust ten seconds later, that emotional connection has zero physical impact on the future timeline.

An emotion doesn't alter physical reality. If two people die in a guaranteed apocalypse, their feelings die with them. The rest of the universe proceeds exactly as scripted, meaning no future ripples exist. By the TVA’s own hard logic set in Pompeii, no future ripple = no branch.

Unless we write it off as He Who Remains artificially faking the spike on the TVA monitors so Mobius would pull them out, the writers directly violated their own rules just to force a dramatic scene.

Am I missing something here, or did the show completely hand-wave its own established sci-fi rules for the sake of the plot?

Comics If I hold hands with Thanos, and hes wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, can I access the power of an Infinity Stone(s) through physical contact?

Upvotes

Has there been an instance in the comics where someone "held' a stone, but someone else was still able to access its power?

When Doctor Strange uses the Time stone, he casts something with his fingers without touching the stone directly. So is physical contact even necessary, or can proximity be enough
