Hear me out guys, if we win the division then go on a run, we could win the World Series

I'm in on that crazy boat with you sailor. It would be very Mariners to do this in spectacularly miracle 🐂💩 fashion and I'm so pulling for that miracle until it's mathematically impossible! Go Mariners! 🔱🦆🔱🫎

A near sweep with every series (especially vs the astros and rangers) and there’s a chance… if we drop 2 out of the next 3 somehow then it’s over . 😆 I still have a sliver of hope too

I can’t believe people actually believe this team can do anything other than shit the bed

You are not a true fan.

Imagine gatekeeping Mariners fandom.

u/Droopy0093 1d ago

I am not imagining anything, I am just giving a more positive perspective to the pessimists.

Been so since the 80s but whatever

u/Meziskari 1d ago

There will always be a part of me that hopes until it is mathematically impossible.

Mariner ❤️

It's not as impossible as we might think tho either.

The only way we have a chance is if we beat the astros twice. Thus, we are really only down 5 games to them outside of those. Astros go 35% and we go 60% win percentages and we win the division.

It’s not going to happen but I like the optimism

Let's work on making it to the World Series before we win it...but yeah.

Fans were just inspired to see someone still remembers how to pitch in Seattle.

New guys being called up to play. Might as well see what they can do

u/Kalothion 1d ago

And send Rick Rizzs off.

u/Gbrusse 1d ago

This hurts a lot. The entire AL West has collapsed. The M's should have been able to walk into the playoffs with a by to the ALDS and give Rizzs another WS push to end his career. Not this whimper shite

That why I’m still here. ‘Bout to lose Ricky not gonna miss a game until then. After this abysmal season plus losing Rick and that lockout looming, gonna make it hard to come back next year.

u/ajdragoon Humpy 1d ago

It’s called being a fan, my friend. It’s not a rational thing. You stick with your team through the successes AND the shit.

Stadium was packed

u/Droopy0093 1d ago

You don't understand what it means to be a fan and root for your team.

I was there with my parents and kids, 5th game this year and my first win.

It was glorious. Woo just absolutely commanded that game start to finish. I wanted tp see a cgso but im glad they pulled him after 8.

god damn that kid has an arm

u/No-Cut-1297 ‏‏There's Always Next Year 1d ago

If they could have scored 2 more, do you let Woo finish or do you always put the closer in?

u/PureMostly 1d ago

He was past 100 pitches and didn’t seem quite as sharp in his final inning, so he was done after 8 no matter what.

u/WaymondWamano77 21h ago

He was not Bryan poo today baby
