HAVING to take a lunch break.

Upvotes

Like jeez I get labor laws and whatnot but I dont even do anything on my break, and honestly I feel like a 6 hour shift isn't worth the mandatory pause in work. If I WANTED to take one fine, but if im already behind because day shift was bad I just wanna keep goin somedays.

What’s a tiny thing that annoys you way more than it should?

Upvotes

For me it’s when someone watches a video on their phone at full volume in public. I know it’s not a big deal, but somehow it instantly gets on my nerves. What’s yours?

Bills give me more grey hairs

Upvotes

That’s all. Bills add more grey hairs on my head.

Every month, my bills become so demanding. The companies are happy when you pay your bill, but not so happy when you are late.

People who call immediately after you don’t answer their text

Upvotes

If I didn’t answer your message from three minutes ago, calling me is probably not going to improve the situation.

Unless something is actually urgent, why do people do this? Now I’m ignoring both the text and the call.

People who send “??” five minutes after a message

Upvotes

Nothing makes me want to reply slower than this. You sent the message five minutes ago. I saw it. I’m just doing something else.

And somehow the second “??” arrives, answering you drops to the bottom of my priorities.

Does this annoy anyone else way more than it should?

When people are upset about one thing and take it out on the people around them.

Upvotes

I understand you cant be happy all the time, but i don't understand why people make it someone else's problem. I have bad days too but at work I'll usually smile my way through or let people know that im grumpy but its not their fault. Same thing at home with the family. At least with the family though I can be more open about what's going on but for the most part I try my hardest to never make people feel like they're the problem, when they're not.

People who ask "What's your lowest price?" when I sell stuff.

Upvotes

The lowest price is the price. That's why its the price.

It's even worse than haggling, because I'm being asked to haggle myself.

Also haggling over postage fees. Have some self-respect.

Is it lack of respect for others? Ego? Lack of self awareness? Simply dgaf?

Wearing headphones to concentrate

Upvotes

Why is it when I have my headphones on, people interrupt me or converse with me? The reason I have them is because I’m focusing on something and I need to concentrate on it.

Do I also need to post a sign around me to let people know not to disturb me?

Or….

Am I being rude, inconsiderate?

Oh… and it’s the complete opposite when I’m not wearing headphones. People ignore me and walk on by.

Anyone else notice that?

Performative empathy and virtue signaling

Upvotes

Not sure if this is the right wording but its like when you say something like "I like pancakes" and a stranger on the internet says "oh so you hate waffles?" That's not what I said, it's odd for you to assume the worst of me from a neutral statement.

Or when you post a pet peeve and it's met with variations of "what about me?" For example, "I use a cane and it annoys me when not a single person offers me a seat on the completely full train" becomes met with "I have an invisible disability so you're actually the a-hole expecting others to move." Then that doesn't apply to you does it? I see similar comment sections arguing over whether everyone is allowed to use the handicap stalls or not too and like it's missing the point.

Overall it's giving "children are starving in Africa" and no one is *actually* doing anything to make said hypothetical children not starve.

Why do people get mad when someone brings up a fight with them????

Upvotes

Like, seriously why, that’s crazy. People getting mad over a fight. Me personally, I would forget about it. I wouldn’t mind if people talk about a fight between me. Tell me why, I was watching an old AppleStoreQueen video, and people are mentioning her getting beat up. When that was mentioned, she got mad. I wanted to laugh so bad because that’s what she was mad about?????? at a grown age. literally, like at YOUR grown age???? I love her makeups and stuff but she did some bad stuff. But getting MAD over a fight, this is level of insanity.

People who just appear to be on autopilot in an argument.

Upvotes

I mostly see it in videos like the guy whose car broke down in front of Allan's girlfriend's house. (I love the follow-up video, btw.)

There are several other videos (non-insurance fraud)

where the person that got rear-ended or sideswiped or whatever will make a good point about the law or lane changes or something, and the person (who is \*clearly\* at fault) will reply with "that doesn't matter." Like, what the fuck is wrong with you? Of course, it matters.

Are these people even awake? It's like they're unconscious. Like they're sleepwalking. It's like they're a dolphin, and half of their brain is asleep, and they can only perform basic functions.

My god.

Why do people whine about something and not take a compromise/alternative ?

Hello so to make this as short as I can , I made fan merch (keychains) from a game I like , I'm trying to sell them , everyone who refuses says they only buy official merch. These are the same people who complain about not having more merch of their character from a niche game they like and are willing to pay $30-40 for an acrylic standee just because it's 'official'

Here are the keychains if you wanna take a look 🫡

Do people actually know what "not that deep" means anymore?

Upvotes

I feel like some people just spam that phrase anytime they can just to be "cool".

Like, I was just talking to my friends about different types of mythical beings and asking my friend, "Am I just a nerd, or is it not common knowledge that alicorns, unicorns, and pegasi are different races of ponies. And then someone comes along saying, "Not everyone is educated on the difference; it's not that deep."

???? What do you mean it's not that deep? What deep talk was I even doing? There was NOTHING deep about what I was asking, so why are THEY saying "It's not that deep"? Oh my DAYS.

I get that people say "it's not that deep" to be dismissive, but what was that person even being dismissive of? We were just talking about unicorns bro. Is this part of the literacy crisis, that people of this age dont even know what the recent phrases even mean?

Edit: Oh my god. Idk how much more I have to repeat myself. YES, talking about magical horses IS NOT THAT DEEP. But that's the POINT. I wasn't taking the topic of people knowing or not knowing magical horses seriously AT ALL. Saying "not that deep" implies im taking the topic SERIOUSLY which I was NOT. I dont CARE if someone knows or doesn't know about magical horses, its not that deep. The misuse of the phrase, however, I AM annoyed about.

"Not that deep" = I dont care. Thats DUMB why dont you just say "I dont care" then? "Not that deep" implies there WAS something serious going on in the first place...

And PLEASE. When I ask if I'm a nerd for knowing something people dont, it is NOT a serious question. It's a question meant to belittle myself AS A JOKE. Like when people call themselves a big back for simply eating alot of things. It is a JOKE.

Bad Drivers

Upvotes

The top offenders!

  1. The speed limit is 45 and this person slows to 15 to make their turn. **** clarification- it's not as much the speed but the fact that they rarely signal or signal within the last 30 feet, and that 15 was charitable.

  2. The lane is ending and they ride that bitch to the end and expect you to let them in.

  3. The speed limit is 60+ and they are doing exactly that in the fast lane of the 3+ lane highway.

  4. Those that don't know how to navigate a 4 way stop.

  5. The INDECISIVE FUCK... the person weave back and forth between lanes, normally without signing

  6. The tailgaters

  7. The brake rider

  8. The ones that hold the phone in front of them, ON SPEAKER.

  9. Speed matcher you can't pass.

  10. Light just turned green BEEP! The light was green for 5 second, no movement.

**** Edit

People who don't tip and act like they're "changing the culture" are just pieces of shit who have managed to delude themselves into a rationalization that make 0 sense at all if you think about it for 2 fucking seconds.

Je spreekt alleen de twee mensen naast je, en met de rest wissel je hooguit een blik uit over de schaal kaas.
Staand met een borrel in de hand praat je met vijf keer zoveel mensen.

How much human capital are they extracting from you weekly? Do you enjoy being a caged factory farmed cattle? When you should be free roam frolicking in the fields. Do you enjoy LARPing clocking in to your meaningless job?
How having about having to listen & take orders to your Boss? Imagine spending the little time you have left in servitude of some drongo. We have collectively lost our humanity when we put profit above all else.

Endless LOLZ

Upvotes

Nothing is that funny, that you need to add LOL at the end of every sentence, and there's no way these people are actually laughing at that exact moment, after whatever shit they've just typed.

Its like "I fell down the stairs & was paralysed from the neck down lol"

Grow up, stop using lols as a default replacement for actual punctuation when what you're saying isn't even remotely funny half the time.
