Athens Airport EES experience lately?
Curious if anyone has experienced it in the last couple of days; trying to gauge what to expect. Thanks!

We flew out last Friday-got there when the Air Canada folks started taking bags, so likely went through around 0945. Took us all of 15 min to get through. I really think it depends on the timing of your flight.

Heading out to do a multi island tour of Greece from the US next month, and using planes between islands, then on to Venice. Is EES required for flights inside Greece? What about before a flight to another Schengen country?

EES isn't required for flights within Schengen countries, or domestically once you're within Greece

I went through earlier today. 15 minute wait in line. I have a Canadian passport but a very Greek name and they just let me through. Not sure why but others were being photographed and fingerprinted.

Not great, I went through on Friday and it took us around 1hr 45min to go through passport control alone (around 12pm). They were sporadically calling out different flights to pull people out of the line who were about to miss their boarding and let them jump the que.
