Vet suggestion for vaccinations

As the title says, we need Vet suggestion for vaccinations. Our dog is extremely friendly but hates our vet and the vaccinations and becomes extremely anxious and aggressive at the vet. We have tried everything, even drugging him(which didn’t work). Our vet asks us to put him in a headlock to do vaccinations which makes him aggressive towards us.
Is there another veterinarian office that has an apparatus safely that holds the dog in place while they do vaccinations?

Terwillegar vet has Dr. Sam Cheung. They often book slots on Sundays for dogs who need more time and patience. They definitely will not headlock your dog.

Seconding Dr. Cheung. He and his wife, an animal behaviourist, run Revolution Animal Vet Clinic and can come to your house, too. Our very anxious girl got her bloodwork and x-rays done in our house and he couldn’t believe our dog has anxious meltdowns at a clinic because she was so calm. We never could have done those diagnostics in a clinic. I’ve worked with his wife since our dog was 9 months old, and she attends the appointments too so that she can monitor behaviour and help while he does the veterinary side. Amazing humans. They also come to our house for my extremely anxious cat. Their fear-free and kind approach to animals makes veterinary care so much less stressful for everyone involved.

Exactly this.
We did cooperative care training for our dogs vet care with revolution animals too. She is a very anxious gal and we can do her annual vaccines without any force or even holding her!

I tell anyone and everyone who will listen to do cooperative care! I retook it when we got our second dog, too, which was a great refresher. Easily the best class I’ve done, and I translated some of it over to our cats. It doesn’t solve everything (our first could never translate it into the clinic setting), but having a willing dog participating in care is so much less stressful for everyone involved.

I did training at companion vet to help my dog be more comfortable at the vet. They are a certified fear free vet and I’ve been blown away at the difference in my dog on vet visits, including vaccinations.

Seconding companion. They were great with our Dane and our current Lab is anxious around vets and they've been great with her. I wish we had found them sooner

Companion is fantastic. They’re the only vet I’ve been to that don’t scare or manhandle my pets.

Some places do in home vaccinations, maybe your pup would feel more comfortable with this option. 🫶

If you're comfortable doing so you can also buy the vaccines at g&e pharmacy and the pharmacist will show you how to do it yourself. Other than for rabies which has to be done by a vet.

I have done many vaccinations for an animal rescue group and would be comfortable helping out with this sort of thing for anyone that needs it. Vaccines can be obtained from G&E Pharmacy for very low cost. I was trained to do proper vaccine administrations by a vet tech that also worked with the rescue group. The only thing I can't do are rabies vaccines, and some other restricted injections. Obviously, I know not everyone would be comfortable with this, but I still wanted to offer a helping hand just in case.

Our dog goes to the back area alone for his check up which has helped him not have us in the room, companion is fear/force free you could try them!

I’ve tried that as well, and the vet won’t take him without us now😭
