Asking Question (Rule 4) Whatvare career options or opportunities for fashion illustrators ?

Like it seems very specific field it is sub sub part of drawing then some sub sub part of fashion designing

it does feel like a sub-sub thing, but that can be useful if you pick a lane: editorial images, lookbook work, or concept sketches for a designer. which part do you actually enjoy drawing most—the clothes themselves or the mood around them

editorial stuff is where the money is, nobody pays for mood boards when they need actual garment flats

pick one buyer such as a fashion magazine or apparel brand and build three sample assignments around what they actually commission. a narrow portfolio makes the field easier to enter than presenting fashion illustration as a general skill
