Discussion What's your getup for a no death run?

I am trying to get the whole item collection for the game, including the 2 illusory rings.

My no death run was cut short by an infinitely idiotic fall in earthen peak, but I'm confident I'll get it in NG++ (still on track for the no bonfire anyway)

To all those who succeded their no death run, what were your arms, armors, rings and spells?

Here is my current getup :

Stats are 25 vigor and endurance and 35 across the rest

- Grand Lance

- Black Kinght Greatsword

- Craftsman's Hammer

- Gyrm Greatshield

- Black Witch's Staff

- Bow of Want (poison or fire arrows)

- *additional Greatbow to destroy leydia pyromancers statues in the crypt*

- Denial

- Great Heal Excerpt

- Crystal Weapon

- Sunlight Blade

- Blue Tearstone Ring

- Cloranthy +2

- Stone Ring

- 3rd Dragon Ring

- Crown of the Old Iron King (might change since it was mostly for no bonfire)

- *switch to hollow skin for Nashandra*

- Northwarder's armor

- Engraved Gauntlets

- Manikin's Leggings

No consumables aside from lifegems

Every npc summon I can have at all times.

First, you need 50 vigor, it’s the most important thing

Eh, I'm at Dragon Shrine so far and I've only died 7 times, 6 of which being absolute rookie mistakes (including 2 falls)

The only time I "legit" died in combat was against a red phantom in Iron Keep, right begore the last bonfire. I underestimated the fact that running attacks with heavy weapons don't get poised and got clapped.

I can't guarantee 100% that I will succeed in next NG, but I really don't think I have anything to worry about health wise.

Mistakes are significantly less likely to end run if you have 50 VGR instead of 25

For my no death no bonfire run to get both rings I had like 50 vigor, the minimum requirements for the santier's spear (was alternating between a bunch of hammers and rapiers before getting it) and a thunder longbow for the shrine of amana
