I have almost 1000 hours in Bannerlord (rookie numbers, I know) and yet sometimes I get told something or discover something that I should have known, but I for some reason missed.

I'll give you a couple of examples of things I only learned recently. For a lot of players this is basic info, but I bet there are others who didnt know this. And please, give your own tips, I dont care how obvious they might be:

1: When talking to a lord/lady to convince them to join your faction, any progress you make gets saved. So, if I need 4 successes to convince them, and only get 2, those two succeses get saved. So if I wait a week and try to convince them again, I start at 2 successes already. You have to wait about a week or two, or else they'll just say that you tried to convince them before and they havent changed their mind. If they do, just wait longer and try again.

2: I never used to visit taverns, because I just check if theres a wanderer there from the Town menu and talk to them if I want to. But if you visit the tavern you can ask the Tavern keeper if there are other wanderers who have passed through. You'll get their names and they show up in the encyclopedia so you know what they are good at, and where they are. It costs 2 denars per tip.

3: Not only that, you can also ask the Tavern keeper about who rules the town, and you get encyclopedia info on their entire clan, and every member! Very useful when looking for a wife. it costs 500 denars, but if you have plenty of money, its worth it IMO.

I’ve been playing Bannerlord and after a while, I’m surprisingly good at landing headshots. Especially in the Arena with bows and javelins. Here are some screenshots I took for some of my best kills.

I've been playing since Early Access, so I remember what it was like when factions with no fiefs just wandered around raiding villages, and that was pretty lame too. But at least they still existed in the world. Factions being destroyed and permanently losing all the clans make the idea of long playthroughs much less interesting.

I would like a mechanic where factions with 1 town left become much harder to siege, or maybe are considered less attractive to attack by the AI. Or, keep things mostly the same but have factions return to Caladria after so many years of being destroyed. They gain strength and return to take a settlement either low in loyalty/security like rebels have the chance to do.

Anything to keep as many NPCs in the world as possible. I understand this is the opposite of what some people want, so maybe make it a setting kinda like the birth/death options, ticking a box to allow for kingdom destruction or not.

My ideal BL game is one that is more or less endless without considerable player intervention. The factions fight, and there is an ebb and flow of successes/losses of fiefs, but no faction is really dedicated to the outright destruction of the other. At least for the first few years of the game, because it feels like either Sturgia or Battania are down to a single town within that time, if not outright eliminated. I just want to sit in my independent town and watch the world sim for a while without 1-2 factions owning the map in 5 in-game years.

Western Empire Noble. This was my first fief, and as soon as they gave it to our clan, Rhagea attacks.

I wouldn't say Bannerlord is one of my favorite games ever, but I was just randomly thinking about games today, and was reflecting on my most recent playthroughs earlier this year where I created my own faction from scratch and eventually conquered the entire map on bannerlord difficulty. I play a lot of games, and I gotta say, conquering the map in Bannerlord was one of the most rewarding feelings I've had in gaming in the last few years.

It took a lot of time, patience, tactics, decision making, and general game knowledge. It really felt like I grew from a nobody, into a battle hardened veteran, and eventually into this scheming mob boss / king who had a stranglehold on the world. It was a very cool feeling.

Despite the bugs and other flaws and warts of the game, I think bannerlord nails the feeling of going from a nobody to ruler of the world better than maybe any other game I have played.

they are like 200 meters away from my troops and they are outside the walls, yet they killed like 25 soldiers before the main force even made it to the gate, is this a bug or normal lol the only combat mode i have is the realistic combat mode

I feel very stupid for this but i just wanted to try something for fun (impossible battle) and when i wanted to load my save i accidentally clicked on SAVE GAME instead of LOAD GAME... So is there any way how can i get my older save? Thanks for any help!

TLDR: Opened a crate ended up with a second wife and a bastard.

Background: Started a rum of scum and villainy. Wanted to add in some more intrigue to the world and used Bellum Civile and Fourberie for the first time. Saw Affairs of Calradia in the Bc mod list. AoC suggested Hot Scenes, which I saw paired with Hot Butter, and Encounters in Calradia. Add all that backstory and mods together and you get this chain of events:

- Get marriage proposal for my brother to marry Corein. I say no. Go marry her myself.
- Travel with her for a while. She bears a son. I give her her own party.
- Find a random crate in the road. IT CONTAINS A WOMAN. Wild.
- This woman - Bianca- is a unicorn. 200+ in one and two handed weapons. 180+ in charm, leadership, stewardship. Good athletics and riding. Only flaw is medicine and engineering.
- Bianca travels with me for a while. We go to tournaments and either team up and/or meet in the finals nearly every time.
- After a tournament, where I had just won a helmet and gave to her for an upgrade, I rent the tavern for my troops.
- Talk to companions. Option to tell Bianca I won the tournament for her - obviously flirty but also true, so I click. She appreciates it.
- Tell her she’s been doing a great job, also true as she’s a captain in every battle. Give her 500 denar tip.
- The next line I forget what it said but it was also flirty but seemed innocent.
- Immediately cuts a sex scene! WHAT?? No clue that was coming.
- Bianca immediately with child.
- Overcome with guilt for cheating on my wife - Super Bae Corein.
- Try to make it right and wed this woman who’s pregnant with my bastard. Make the baby legitimate.
- Corein stops being jealous.
- Next time we’re all at our castle, option for threesome.
- Obviously click to cap this unintended side quest.

lol wtf. No idea what the percent chance is to find a crate and it create the best wanderer companion in the game, but I assume it has to be rare? But 10/10 would open random crate in middle of the road, bed and wed its contents again.

Hey lads, I have never become king before ever. But I am now the leader of my own faction.

I wanted to know how to recruit mercenaries etc but I can’t find a button under the kingdoms tab anywhere. Any advice would be appreciated.

Anybody knows how to export Bannerlord Textures?
