After 3 years I finally got her ceramic coated. I don’t know why I waited so long. My favorite Audi I’ve owned thus far.

Audi is in a somewhat strange position, especially with how much overlap there is with Volkswagen and Porsche. Still, I think they make genuinely good cars.
Their biggest challenge is sitting between BMW and Mercedes. BMW tends to prioritize sportiness and driving feel, while Mercedes focuses more on luxury and presence. Audi tries to combine performance, comfort, technology, and everyday usability. I actually think that balance is a strong formula.

The criticism that Audis are boring or lack the feel of a BMW is largely subjective. I like the idea of an AWD performance car that is fast, confidence inspiring, and usable in almost any situation. Most owners are not taking their cars to the track every weekend, so that combination makes a lot of sense.

Audi has also proven it can move beyond the old reputation for heavy understeer. Rear wheel steering and modern torque vectoring differentials can make a huge difference in how these cars rotate and feel. I just wish Audi used that hardware more often on the cars where it would actually add character. You can keep the traction and confidence of quattro without making the car feel sterile.
The bigger issue is that BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are becoming increasingly similar. AWD, adaptive suspension, torque vectoring, rear wheel steering, huge power, and endless technology are everywhere. At this point, driving philosophy, design, and execution matter more than the badge.

Audi was once a genuine design leader. Their cars had a futuristic, understated aggression that felt distinctive without being excessive. I think they have played it too safe recently and lost some of that identity.
Reliability matters just as much as engineering. A technically sophisticated car should not become a nightmare to own after a few years, or even a few months. Audi should build cars that are not only excellent to drive and engineered to a high standard, but also stout, dependable, and reasonably easy to work on. Excellence in engineering should not come at the expense of durability and ownership experience.

I do not think Audi makes bad cars. I just think they have the engineering and design talent to be much more interesting, distinctive, and durable than they are today. Simplify the lineup, give the designers and engineers more freedom, and let Audi be Audi again.
I would still love to own an R8 someday. Audi was a genuinely cool brand, and I think it still has the potential to be one.

Edit: I think AMG sounds (or used to sound the best) but S/RS sounds better imo.

I was actually looking to buy a newer Audi or jaguar but then this one came for sale for really cheap and specced exactly how I wanted. It’s in need of some tlc but that’s alright, that’s why I got VCDS.

My hubby and I have had a hell of a year. Filled with loss & grief. Navigating a new life we aren’t familiar with.

We are starting to emerge from the black cloud of grief and opening ourselves up to potentially find joy in life again.

My husband has always loved the Audi RS 3. He makes a funny sound when he sees one on the road like he just saw a unicorn or something. I’d like to buy him one, but I know jack fucking shit about cars.

1. Is it fun to drive?

2. He likes the sound some cars make. I don’t know what counts as making “the sound”. Apparently some cars have the sound and others are lawn mowers. Does this car make vroom vroom noises that sound good?

3. Is there a certain feature I should be looking for when selecting the vehicle? Like package or a specific detail?

4. What is the most sought after color?

5. Maintenance. Is this thing going to fall apart at 100k miles? Will it cost me an insane amount in maintenance just to get it to 100k?

Hey all, getting a p0333 code on my Audi b7a4 2.0t. I recently got all the timing services done front and rear, oil has been changed every 5k, I can’t hear any audible knocking at all. Could the knock sensor have been messed up from the water pump job, or vibrated loose due to a bend in wheel? I’m going to replace and check the sensor, but just wanting to know if anyone has had to deal with this on their b7

so i had a 84' b2 coupe GT few years back and that car was cool as hell, it's been awhile since i have had it but i know one thing i did not like about it wsa that i felt kind've heavy and anxiety inducing as i live in the states.

however i really like the b3 audi's and am curious if they are capable of being a reliabe and easy as my 90s nissan or toyota is

I’m having a serious issue with my 2026 S3 that seems identical to a previous thread here (Has anyone had their 2025 Audi A3/S3/RS3 go into park and parking brake engage while driving?). I’ve attached a video demonstrating the malfunction (apologies for the camera constantly refocusing).

Here is what I’m dealing with:
I took the car in a few weeks ago. They kept it for two weeks waiting on a replacement part to arrive. They finally called, said it was fixed, and I picked it up.
The very next day, the exact same issue happened again. Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated. It doesn't happen every time I start the car, only intermittently. It has only happened at low speeds right at the beginning of a drive (thankfully it hasn't happened in traffic or at higher speeds!).
The only temporary workaround is to keep turning the engine off and on until it behaves normally.
*Note:* Before anyone points out the seatbelt warning on the dash, yes, I know it's on in the clip, but this malfunction happens when I am fully buckled in, too.

Has anyone actually had this successfully diagnosed and resolved? Doing some quick research on the topic doesn’t look good, but I'd love to know if anyone else is dealing with this and what the actual fix was.

Jedná se mě o to cinkání v com. liště , vstřiky  jsou jako nové , regulátor tlaku pracuje perfektně , senzor tlaku taky , nikde žádný únik.

Hello. I purchased a 2022 SQ8 last year. Love the car, great family car (besides storage space) and have enjoyed it. Before purchasing the SQ8, I always wanted either a Cayenne S (2024 and above) or a SQ8 and found a good deal on a SQ8. I find myself looking at cayennes S constantly and always second guess if I got the right suv. Is there anyone here who has/had a Cayenne as well and knows the differences between the two ?
