Question about your employer insurance plans…

Hi 👋🏼 If you’ve been a retail manager for a while, especially if you’ve worked in “luxury” goods or volume locations that do $1.5 mil or more a year… What are your employer plans like? No need to list companies, though I am curious, but what do you pay for medical/dental/vision per paycheck (bi weekly or monthly)? Did you notice your plans change price or provider after the BBB went into effect?

My last few companies all used Blue Cross Blue Shield. On average I've paid about $150 a paycheck but that was for medical, dental, vision and I always elect supplemental benefits like long term disability etc. This is always for the highest PPO plan with the lowest deductible and an FSA card to go with it.

I've had United Healthcare and Aetna prior. I prefer BCBS. I never have any issues with them approving things and I don't need prior authorization for testing or referrals for specialists. I have a $0 copay for like 90% of my prescriptions. My primary care doctor is $0 copay, specialists are $20 and psych Drs are $40. Urgent care is $20 as well.

I was offered a management position with a large national department store at the beginning of the summer and I actually ended up having to turn the job down because their health insurance was SO bad (UMR). It was not only expensive but my ex had that insurance and it was impossible finding doctors to take that insurance in our area, the deductible was outrageous and the copays were stupid. I was so sad because I really wanted that job but there was no way that health insurance would work for me.
