Genuine question. Movies make it look amazing but half the people I know say it's awkward, cold, and someone always gets soap somewhere bad. For those of you who actually like it, what makes it work?

Would you rather constantly be the one initiating, wondering if your partner is in the mood, and often feeling rejected? Or would you rather be the one who gets asked more often, but sometimes feels like you’re struggling to keep up with your partner’s energy?

Back in my previous jobs when I traveled, it was when I was married. Now, going on the first real trip (SF if anyone has places I should check out on weeknights) in a few years, it got me thinking.

For me it was the fourth encounter.
