What to Watch? I'm sick of "Will they/Won't they" romance nonsense that goes nowhere. Are there any good anime shows where the characters actually get together and have sex? NSFW

Upvotes

Not talking about pornography, just normal adult relationships.

I have not seen much anime. I enjoy romance but what I've seen so far is either infuriatingly slow, the relationship doesn't go anywhere, or the couple act more like roommates than romantic partners. Where is the passion?

I don't even care if it's on screen or not, I just wanna know that two characters that deserve each other are getting it on. The Castlevania anime is an excellent example of this:

  • Good characters
  • The romance is a side plot, not the main story
  • It isn't dragged out
  • They aren't shy and awkward, but act like actual people

Also no high schoolers please. I am fed up watching anime about high schoolers in a high school.

Happy endings are preferred but not required.

What to Watch? Mostly Apropriate in the Fantasy Genre

Upvotes

My 7 year old kid is getting into Anime hard-core. She has currently gone through Campfire Cooking in another world (3 times), Bofuri, and Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Im kinda now at a knowledge limit of what might be appropriate for her. All the things I know start trending into too much fan service or probably too gruesome. Campfire cooking is about at the limit of how much blood id like her to see but she is at least used to it now.

Pokemon and Digimon type stuff doesn't interest her. She tried Sailor moon and it went okay. But that fantasy isekaiish she has enjoyed a lot. Im thinking maybe I've been killing slimes for 300 years... but other than that I am really lost.

What to Watch? I’d like to watch another anime like “I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class”

Upvotes

I just recently watched “I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class”, and I thought it was genuinely great. I really liked the main characters and how their relationship gradually evolved from a friendship to a romance. I liked how relatively grounded and real it felt, especially when it came to the characters dealing with issues regarding relationships between family and friends. I was wondering if there were any other similar shows that I could watch, especially romance shows that are relatively low-key and grounded.

What to Watch? Best romance anime where the FL is flat?

Upvotes

Basically the title. I'm looking for any romance anime where the main female lead is flatchested. It seems most romance anime that have flatchested girls are either harem (which I don't want) or she's a side character that doesn't end up with the male lead.

I have seen Horimiya.

Manga/LN/VN Manga/LN/VN about supernatural powers in daily life

Upvotes

I'm a huge fan of stories of some supernatural phenomena interferes with someone's daily life and causes drama. It can be someone who has some power, it can be some kind of supernatural force, etc. I'm thinking of something along the lines of Bunny Girl Senpai, Kokoro Connect, Yamada-Kun and the Seven Witches, etc. I prefer dramas but romcoms/SOLs are fine.

Should not have monsters or anything.

I'm aware of Saiki-K but that leans a little too hard on the comedy for me to the point where I can't really take it seriously and it doesn't scratch the itch.

I feel like I've drained most of the anime that fit this specific niche but I'm hoping some manga or LNs or VNs could do it.

I'm also partial to stories that have the characters appear to be normal people but are secretly hiding some superpower or supernatural ability, and live a double life as some kind of superhero, but still return to their ordinary lives at the end of the day (think Spiderman). I haven't really found any stories that did it for me (Unless Persona 5 counts).

What to Watch? Looking for anime that start out innocent but turn dark?

Upvotes

Ive seen the usual ones, Promised Neverland, Madoka, Shinsekai Yori, Erased, Made in Abyss Ect. Looking for something that gives that same vibe, where they start out innocent but become very dark and intense. Also ones that are equally as high quality as the others mentioned.

What to Watch? Looking for unusual romance shows

Upvotes

First of all, if such a request was done here before, then I apologize because basically what kind of anime I am interested in seeing are romance with a supernatural aspect.

So far, I have had experience with the TV series Kamichu as I was interested in seeing some quirky romance anime as I was looking to get away from grounded anime to see something with heavy fantasy elements, such as spirits who can see the main character.

What to Watch? Anime with Self-aware (and funny) Female Protagonist

Upvotes

Basically a show that has the main female protagonist that's lowk a bit of a gooner but not TOO degenerate (as in like Watamote) and doesn't hesitate to insult others or herself and is very funny and self aware. Basically Kazuma from Konosuba but as a woman

What to Watch? Any horror recommendations?

Upvotes

So, I'm looking for some horror anime recommendations to watch. I'm not that much into gore or excessive violence (is not that I cannot watch it, but I don't really like when is the main plot), I'm more interested in psychological horror, disturbing atmospheres, paranoia, etc.

What to Watch? So i just started watching anime again

Upvotes

As the title says, I haven't watched anime in a while, but seeing that anime cat anime got me back into it. From what I can remember, I watched

My Hero Academia (Abt 20 Ish Episodes) (50/50) Ish

Finished Gun Gale Online (original) (Cant Wait To Watch The 2nd One)

Sword Art Online (Before Season 3) (Not Bad Perfered GGO Tho)

Soul Eater (Almost Finished A Few Years Back) ( Loved It)

Bleach (Not My Type)

Naruto (40 ish episodes)

High Rise Invasion (Loved it)

Yani Neko (Aka ChainSmoker Cat) (Love It Cant Wait For More)

I really like horror and love stories, mainly MxM. Nothing sexual, though. I love shows or stuff where the main characters hate each other, then either become friends or something more. I'm willing to try anything—I mean, how else are you gonna learn? Idk, I'd like horror anime. I've been liking, idk how to put it, interesting stuff.

What to Watch? Anime focusing on multiple different groups of main characters.

Upvotes

My favorite stories are those with multiple different "troupes" of characters, all with their own motivations and skills and dynamics, and throughout the story you get to see how their different journeys impact one another, and they can meet and fight or team up, form rivalries, characters switch teams...I love the adventure feeling it brings!

At the same time, it does not have to be a set in non-chronological order like Baccano or Durarara, I find those a bit too confusing to consume as an adventure story. I mean something more like FMAB or Dungeon Meshi by this.

What to Watch? animes taking place in alien worlds

Upvotes

ideally places with ecosystems vastly different from our own (a bunch of people recommended scavengers reign and it was beautiful (although it isn't an anime) and another one is Somali and the forest spirit (that one IS an anime but the world looks kind of similar to our own but with different colors)

What to Watch? Anime film suggestions (stand-alone)

Upvotes

Generally, I'm not into movies since I don't think a good story can be introduced and concluded within a span of 2 hours or so.

But I want to broaden my horizon. I recently finished watching Summer Wars and Wolf Children. Both were decent but really nothing special.

I like mysteries, mind-bending, psychological shows such as Shinsekai Yori, Land of the Lustrous, Re:Zero, Death Note, Evangelion, Psycho Pass.

I don't like Ghibli and all those Your Name esque productions.

Appreciate your recommendations!

Discussion What is the best anime tracking website/app?

Upvotes

There are a few features I would like of course

  1. User ratings

  2. I would love to be able to easily share the list with others.

  3. I want to be able to set them as plan to watch, watching, completed, paused, dropped.

  4. Tracking how far you are in the anime either with episode/season number or what arcs you've completed

  5. It should give recommendations either based on what you've watched or what others recommend.

  6. MOST IMPORTANTLY: it should NOT list one anime as several different distinct parts with very few exceptions (think bleach and TYBW or DBZ and Super). That just bloats the list and makes it harder to find recommendations. "You watched attack on Titan season one? Maybe you'll like attack on Titan season 2, season 3, season 3 part 2 and the final season part 1 2"... Yeah no shit, I want ACTUAL suggestions. There's no reason one piece is one entry but AoT is 6+... it would even be cool if you could rate the individual seasons/parts/arcs and then have it average out your overall rating for the full anime but I don't want it to be bloated

What to Watch? What are considered the top 10 need to watch anime?

Upvotes

I've watched a fair bit by now and in most genres. There's a few that I previously haven't had access to but now that a have a PC I can basically find whatever I need. Here's a small amount of what I've seen so far that I'll be pretty sure might be in the top ten? Also I wanna emphasis that I use the top ten talk loosely as I understand, everyone has vastly different tastes. Anyway:

- Attack on Titan

- Full metal brotherhood

- Dragon ball Z

- Hunter X Hunter (haven't finished it yet)

- Naruto

- Toradora

- Your lie in April (this one is probably more personal preference)

And I have many others but don't think they would be considered top ten in the general consensus.

Here's what I haven't watched and am guessing might be in the top ten?

- Code Geass (where do I start though? )

- 86

- Bleach

- Monster

- Nana

- Evangelical

And probably more that I can't think of right now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've been loving all genres lately with honorable mentions going to that time I reincarnated from a slime and many many romances that, to be fully honest, I'm getting sick of the the typical highschool awkward crap that take 2 seasons for them to even admit they have feelings 🙄 horimiya and you and I are polar opposites are fantastic because it's just gets straight into the beauty and downsides of being in a first relationship etc etc.

Anyway thankyou and I love anime so much!!!!

Discussion Anime Reviews/Looking For Recommendations/Discussions and stuff (Jujustu Kaisen/DanDanDan/Frieren/The Summer Hikaru Died/Highrise Invasion/One Punch Man/The Apothecary Diaries/The Ramparts Of Ice/Kamisama Kiss)

Upvotes

I’m looking for some anime recommendations based on the ones I like!

Also looking to find certain mangas idk what their called officially

Mangas I’m looking for:

Frieren Beyond Journey’s End

DanDandan

Jujustu Kaisen

The Apothecary Diaries

+ any manga recommendations

I’ve watched so many anime’s and I hate finishing them because there’s only so many good anime’s that I’d like 😔

Anime’s I’ve watched and my ratings (and why)

- Frieren Beyond Journey’s End (10/10)

10, love the characters, animation, expressions, scenarios, emotions and storyline. Just overall a lovely show, slow paced, never boring.

- DanDanDan (8/10)

10, love the humour, animation and storyline. -2, weirdly sexualized with uncomfortable implications.

- The Summer Hikaru Died (9/10)

10, loved the animation, amazing expressions, intro and ability to see the character’s emotions/mental health. -1, wasn‘t a fan of the ending.

- The Apothecary Diaries (10/10)

10, amazing storyline, animation, emotions, humour, expressions, explanations, characters and just overall an insane 10/10, they don’t lean on one topic too much, keeps the story open instead of just having one straight line of a story, makes it feel realistic and you really get to experience the anime‘s wonderful world.

- High Rise Invasion (7/10)

9, love the story line, expressions , animation, emotions and concept in general. -2, Overly sexualized and unnecessary sexual animations.

- Kamisama Kiss (10/10)

10, love the storyline, characters, expressions, animation and humour, to be honest just a great story, not boring nor overwhelming!

- The Ramparts of Ice (7/10)

9, amazing animation, expressions, characters and calm feeling and scenarios. -1, kind of boring, feels not as interesting as it seems for some reason. -1, just not for me for some reason.

One Punch Man (7/10)

9, love the humour, expressions, animation and story. -1, possibly racist character designs, there has been suspicions☹️. -1, pretty repetitive.

EXTRA:

- The racism isn’t official, it’s just speculation. I‘m entirely unsure if it is the case or isn’t.

- These are my opinions and my opinions only, I apologize if it upsets anyone It is not my intention to upset anyone.

- The sexualization topics are my opinion and what I personally think about the anime’s.

- I have not finished The Ramparts of Ice, I quit watching it.

- I hope you like my ratings! ❤️
