Help! Bloc10 Bouldering - when should I go?
Hello all - anyone go bouldering at Bloc10?
I’m a beginner and looking to start but don’t fancy going when it’s crazy busy as I’m getting used to things. I’m able to go Saturday & Sunday as well as through the week between 5pm & 10pm. I know these are pretty peak times, but what would be the quietest out of alll to try my hand at it? Closer to them closing around 9pm/ Saturday morning? Etc etc.
also any tips appreciated!

History Managed to snap a couple of photos of St Palladius Church down in Drumtochty Glen!
Took a little trip out to Drumtochty Glen recently and finally got to see St Palladius Church in person. The red sandstone against the greenery is absolutely stunning, and that pencil tower gives it such a hidden-gem, fairytale look.
It was built back in 1885 as a private estate chapel for nearby Drumtochty Castle. Definitely worth a drive out if you enjoy exploring local architecture and scenic spots around Aberdeenshire.

Events and activities in the city
How am I best to find out about things going on in the city? I am always looking for family friendly things to do every weekend but I often find out about them too late, usually through word of mouth. I don’t use Facebook or instagram - is there a newsletter of the various goings on? Thanks!

Looking to move to Aberdeen - areas to consider / avoid
Hi everyone - single F looking to move to Aberdeen / closer to Aberdeen as I’ve a job in Westhill and don’t fancy the commute through the shire in Winter long term. Purely a move for work, no need for considering primary schools or nightlife etc..
Can anyone give any pointers on areas to consider? Areas to avoid? I don’t really know the city well enough to make the jump and scared of choosing badly just based on price.
Have been looking at Westhill itself, maybe Peterculter (there are a lot of properties at Millside for sale - but don’t know if this is cos it just has high turnover for first time buyers or it’s a Hell-hole), Inverurie at a push though the commute is longer, or Danestone / Woodside areas?
Any advice appreciated 😊

Independent greengrocers
My mom's coming for a long stay next month, and she's always been weird about buying fruit and veg from the supermarket. Are there any nice independent greengrocers in the city? Because I can't think of any outside of a pretty small selection of produce at places like Rosemount Market or The Spice of Asia

Music Visiting from Canada - Live Music September 8?
Hi all! I'm in Aberdeen for one night (September 8). Is there any chance of being able to see any traditional Scottish music in a pub? I realize Tuesday isn't an ideal day for that sort of thing.
Thank you!

What exactly is FUBAR news?
I’ve not been in Aberdeen long and see fubar news posts everywhere, what exactly is it? Who’s running it?
Is it like a larger version of the local town fb group with power hungry admins?

A little rant
Today I was walking up union street to get the bus, a woman who was very clearly a junkie stopped me and said she had a prosthetic leg and she needed money for the bus. (She did not show me her leg so I can’t confirm or deny she has one) I was polite and told her I was sorry but I didn’t have cash and she pointed me towards a shop to get some. I told her sorry but no and she immediately got close to my face and said “Fuck your mum” then yelled it again. I wish I’d had a clever response but I was stunned so I just stared at her before walking away. I don’t understand the entitlement of asking for someone’s else’s money then getting irate when they say no. I’m a little bit upset about it to be honest. Does anyone else have any similar experiences with junkies in town?

Shag cut - suggestions?
I want to get a shag style haircut but am afraid of getting botched and looking like Brian may.
Has anyone had one and can they suggest where?
I have a curly hair type too if that's important
